^ honestly i cant recall ever hearing bad training stories from sparring partners in the leadup to a fight
I love this, even though I'm a big Canelo fan and I am riding with him in this fight, this aspect is the most intriguing to me. Floyd outsmarting a very legit and very smart fighter. :good
I like how you still post in the thread, but ignore our on-going conversation. It was open scoring, he didn't have to do anything about Trouts Chicken Dance... because it was open scoring. I'm sure you understand the low-risk fighting style.. your boy Mayweather uses it.
Hittting Floyd's arms is a good tactic Matthysse's crew said that's what they'd do if they were to fight floyd.
Several Mayweather opponents have said they were going to do this, including Guerrero and (gulp) Gatti. It sounds good in theory but is generally a futile effort. One, part of what makes Mayweather an excellent defensive fighter is his impeccable timing and ability to roll with punches. He's not just moving to the side: he's specifically moving with the flow of the punch to avoid its impact. It makes no difference if you aim for the arm or the head; he spaces himself and rolls with what his opponent gives him. Second, fighters are instinctually focused on the head and body. Canelo can spend his whole training camp working on solely tricep punches, but as soon as he gets in the ring and see what he believes is an open target (face or body), he's going to throw there. Put together, Canelo is going to throw his punch where he thinks it's going to do damage, and Mayweather is a master at giving opponents a false sense of what is open.
Mayweather is hated for his low risk style but your boy Canelito is loved for it... Hmmmmmm Floyd can hold the middle of the ring..even against bigger fighters...Cinnabuns can't even hold the middle against smaller fighters.
That is where you have been flawed this whole time my friend, I don't have a boy in the fight. I try to be objective with my opinions.. and not biased, unlike others. I actually like Mayweathers low-risk philosophy when it comes to boxing. Why get punched in the face, if you don't have to. Fighters are people beyond just in the ring, they aren't two roosters.
Alvarez needs to throw everywhere and stay active all night if he wants to be competitive in this fight. To trouble Mayweather you need to be in his face all night and keep throwing, whether it was to head, body, shoulders or wherever, just keep landing something as soon as you get in. That requires solid stamina to properly apply and Alvarez has serious speed to back it up. That's the best way to see this fight going 50/50 till someone is stopped or the 12th dings. If Alvarez decides to be active for two rounds then pause in the middle of the ring for the rest of the fight he's getting outboxed and outclassed easily.
:deal Haters post here like all the oposition Floyd faces is garbage, well with this frame of thinking it makes Floyd's wins garbage too. atsch #teamCanelo
Couldn't be more wrong. Hatton is a pressure fighter, Canelo IS NOT. If Floyd wins he will have outsmarted a very smart fighter. #teamCanelo
There seem to be too many psychics on this forum. I really don't know who will win this fight, but it's quasi impossible for Floyd to lose a decision in Vegas. However, I do think that Alvarez will do much better than any thinks, he has a chance, esp. when I think about Mosley having Floyd out on his feet in their fight. The only think that saved Floyd from getting knocked out is the fact that Mosley quit punching. Smells fishy to me...........
:rofl It's a decent idea to gain a very small advantage...in theory, but Floyd is one of the best in the business at making adjustments during the fight. Once he sees what Canelo is doing he'll start feinting and countering Alvarez' jab...then what?
Void lost to Castillo and Oscar. They were both robbed. Oscar lost by split decision, but he was the one who was knocking Void's head back like a punching bag.............
