Canelo's resume has went from weakest among top fighters to one of the strongest in less than two years. He has went from question mark to sure thing in big fights.

His resume was borderline horrible before the Trout fight. I would not have picked him in most of the fights he has won since. He deserves recognition for the tough fights he has taken and won since 2013. His last five fights have been a murderer's row of different styles.

Additionally, Floyd's W over Canelo seems to be appreciating well.

Canelo best opponents (pre-2013): Mosley W12 (well past best days), Alfonso Gomez TKO6 and Kermit Cintron TKO5

Best opponents (current): Mayweather L12, Austin Trout W12, Lara W12, James Kirkland KO3 and Alfredo Angulo TKO10 (past best).

One more thing: Canelo's resume is untouchable if two of his next three fights are Cotto and GGG.

he seems to want to fight the best and ducks no one, even though I don't think he's as good as people think

I thought his run from Trout through Lara was excellent. Angulo and Kirkland aren't bums, but they weren't exactly killers either. It would be a pretty good accomplishment for him if he can beat Cotto in the fall.

I really like his attitude, and I think he is underrated in the skills department. I actually think Canelo is a better win than Pacquaio on Mayweather's resume.

If Kirkland is one of your best opponents then you're resume is questionable

Mayweather needs to get a rematch with Alvarez ASAP and beat him again for legacy. Alvarez will go on to be one of the greats of his era.

He may not be the best P4P, but one thing is for sure, he isn't ducking anyone. He deserves some praise just for that.

I think he is overrated but hats off to fighting everyone available. Very pleasing style too. I see him as better than Fernando Vargas (much more versatile) but a notch lower than some of the great Mexican fighters of the past.
