He said he'll fight him at 160.. That's obviously where the fight will be.

Canelo hasn't fought at 160. 175 is more his thing.

No he did not say 160. He said GGG should fight for for honor and glory and to put the belt issue to rest.

In other words, accept the 155 cw and we have a fight. Fighting for the fans or fighting for a corrupt sanctioning organization?

Canelo invited GGG to the ring, he called him out, and told him more or less where he can find him at 155.

Why are you so afraid for Canelo at 160?

Do you not think Canelo can win at 160?

Being the undisputed world middleweight champion sounds pretty glorious.

It seems to me that Canelo fans don't believe he can defeat GGG without the catchweight. His fans know he can't win at the 160 limit. I don't blame them because they are correct.

Golovkin is after the belts and Canelo knows this.

If Canelo wants a catchweight fight why has it go to be 155? Why not 157 or 158?

Yeah, let's both fight for honor and glory..,

But first let's dangerously starve ourselves and unnecessarily cut 20 pounds in personal gamble where I think my youth will give me an advantage to be able to more efficiently cut the weight than you, hence giving my an arbitrary advantage.

I personally do not care what weight theyb fight in. But Canelo insists on 155 and quite frankly he is the more proven fighter, has a massive fan base, and pretty much the face of boxing so GGG doesn't have as much negotiating power compared to Canelo. So its on GGG to concede, fight for the fans by dropping a few pounds like he has said he is willing to. 154-168

I don't think Canelo can win at 160 or 155 but it would be nice to see GGG beat this red headed step child instead of fighting a nobody for a stripped belt. It would give GGG alot of exposure and hopefully leverage to get the other title holder(BJS) to step in the ring with a fair offer.

Not sure why. What I do know is that GGG needs Canelo. Canelo would make him filthy rich, would give him an opportunity for a much needed name on his resume, and would help GGG become a household name.

Canelo could come in at 155, but let a middleweight fighter go to the limit for the weight.

    Problem solved.

    Proven against whom though?

He lost against Mayweather. He had a close fight against Lara, which is probably his best win.

Other than that, he beat a damaged goods, tiny middleweight in Cotto.

    What has he really done?

He's a huge guy, beating up small guys.

Let's see what he does when he faces someone his own size before we say he's more proven.

Don't you want to see the guys at their best?

160 will benefit both of them. Canelo won't have to drain so much, and GGG will be fresh as well.

It only makes sense. Would you rather Canelo fight a drained version of GGG?

How did you feel when Mayweather drained Canelo? Did you approve of that at the time?

Come on man, you're being biased. If Canelo loses, it's not the end of the world. It really isn't.

There will plenty of mexican fighters in the future if that's what you're worried about.
