I agree, I'm a Canelo fan and even I never heard people state "1 PUNCH" KO power.

Beautiful post. This is real for the "DigitalDopeman" :patsch

He has good pop but he doesn't by any means have one punch KO power.

Only newbies would think Canelo needs "Power" to trouble Mayweather, Corrales had all the power in the world and didn't do squad for him, Canelo may not have great power but has enough to put a hurt on Floyd, Another thing he has is great skills, defense and a very smart fighter, I cant think of a young fighter who had the skills of Alvarez that Mayweather has fought.

he hit shane with some good hard solid shots, no doubt...but they werent hard enough to stop shane or make shane back track. if all those rounds of canelos "power" punches he accumulated against shane didnt take an old shane down...people must be trippin if they think canelo is gonna connect that much to affect floyd with this power everyone keeps talkin about. If he doesnt have 1 punch knockout power and cant outbox floyd enough to consistenly land on him to wear him down and knock him out over time, how do his fans think he will get the job done?

Exactly, the kid fights like a veteran already. Haters just trying to discredit this kid.

of course the kid got ability and good skills, i gave him credit for that..most people thats giving canelo a chance when i read youtube comments or article comments all mention his knockout power and punchin power as his key to victory...not so much his skills, head movement, defense and his jab...thats all im sayin...

i aint hatin on canelo....i gave dude credit for his skills..im just questioning this power that everybody says he possesses like he supposed to knock mayweather out with a single punch. the kid got good skills to be his age or any age for that matter, i never questioned that...just his power which is why i made this thread...not to discredit his boxing skills....imma realist not a hater

*****s are going to jump on you because they want to hype Alvarez up some killing monster so when Floyd UD's him it seems all the more impressive. Same move every time.

Fact of the matter is, he has little to no chance against Mayweather. He can't outbox him, doesn't have the output to outwork him, doesn't have the reach or jab to offset him, and doesn't have the power to create the dramatic KO.

Having said all that, he is realistically the toughest fight for Floyd right now that can be made with the exception of Golovkin or Martinez.

all i keep hearing people mention is canelos POWER, not really his skills. and people do keep sayin he will stop floyd with his POWER. i still dont see that either, he landed hard solid shots on shane and trout but not powerful enough to stop either one, which is why i say people who always bring up his POWER, seem to over rate it. im a floyd fan, but even more a boxing fan, i like canelo as a boxer too. if canelo was to get the job done, i think it would be by suprising floyd with his skills at his age moreso than this POWER writers and fans mention in most articles.

with what i saw from last fight, i dont give him any chance unless he learned some supa slick shxt this training camp. Canelo is a very good fighter and the best fight for floyd right now, i agree.i like his jab, he got a lotta snap to it, i just dont know if he can keep the work rate up enough to bother floyd or trouble him.

Everyone's going to come on this thread and deny it.

"I never said that!" "I never said this!" " I've never seen someone say this!" blah blah blah...

Truth is, there have been plenty of people saying things about how Canelo would overpower and KO Floyd. There was even some thread a few days back claiming all Canelo had to do is "catch Floyd one good time" and the fight would be over.

Yes, his power is overrated, but at the same time his skill is underrated. I think he had pretty decent head movement, and really good hand speed and accuracy. This is going to be a good fight, but not because of some threat of a one-punch KO. It will be a good fight because the kid's got some serious skill.

He has decent power but the main thing is hes gonna out weigh Floyd by about 20 pounds, so that means his punches would do more damage
