if anyone is denyin that people are givin canelo a chance to beat floyd because of his power must not be readin what writers are sayin or fans are sayin. hardly nobody mentions his skill, which to me is better than his so called power. he gotta solid jab, his head movement is good and he can bob, duck down and slip punches to get close to land body shots. people givin him a shot because of his power are being influenced by the media i think instead of actually breakin down his fights and seein what he does good.

prolly so, but if the extra 20 pounds and power behind the shots didnt really do much damage on shane than i dont really see it affecting floyd much.

  3. Is Canelo a knock out artist? No.

Does the kid pack a good punch? Yes. Ask Trout. That's a tough MFer and he was dropped like a bad habit.

I'm giving Canelo a good chance to hurt Floyd in this fight. Hopefully he shows us another level to his skill, which I wont be surprised based on what we saw in the Trout fight.

canelo has good power not awesome power, i don't think his power is over rated. he still has a good chance at hurting and knocking out mayweather. saying he couldn't knock out mosely is stupid, who has ever knocked out mosely? the fact that he was able to knock down and wobble the tricky unorthodox trout several times should have mayweather worried and believe me mayweather will be playing it safe come fight night.

i said if his "power" didnt do much damage to shane after all the hard shots he landed on him i dont see him bothering floyd since i dont think he will connect anywhere near as much on floyd as he did shane or trout. an didnt see trout wobbled several times. he got knocked down once and hit with solid shots, but i aint see him "wobbled" several times . and im not sayin canelo dont have power and pop to his punches, im sayin his power isnt what people are making it out to be. everytime i see a canelo fan make a comment on youtube or an article they always mention his POWER like its devastating or something. im just sayin fans over rate his power..even shane said floyd and canelo have about the same power to there shots.

Shane Mosley has one of the best chins in boxing
If Canelo lands a legit punch on Floyd he would hurt him but he wont land a proper clean glove

    This is pretty much perfect.

I would be really excited for this fight, if I thought Canelo would be capable of very high output but there is no history of that.

Even though his jab is decent, he misses too often with it and it is not really a fast jab. I really don't see it being effective against Floyd.

It just seems Canelo will try to outbox Floyd and this will lead to a boring onesided event with Floyd coasting to a win.

canelo landed almost twice the punches on mosley compared to floyd, so depending his gameplan it will be the output.. and to be honest floyds output on his last 6 fights is nothing to impress..

Canelo hits hard but he doesn't have one punch KO power yet, that may come as he gets older, wiser and stronger.

Once hes older, wiser and stronger, he will probably be fighting bigger guys at a larger weight, so I expect it to even out.

As for the thread, agreed, Canelos power is overrated, as is everything else about him.

Many of us just don't think he has the skill to win. So what we are saying is he will need a KO to win, that does not mean he has great power, just that his size advantage is his best advantage.

he landed about 200 more total punches on shane than floyd did

  13. Do you guys really think this will be an easy fight for Floyd?

Are you still hyped from the Ghost fight? Robert didn't bring anything to that fight besides Ruben who was just there to talk ****

Think about Floyd's ventures above 147. He obviously doesn't belong there. A SD with old man Oscar and getting ****ed up like we haven't see in a long time by a shot past prime Cotto? Lets keep it real for a second

Canelo has a good chance of beating Floyd. Hence the CW

i dont think its going to be that easy for floyd, due to the fact that canelos confidence in himself is real and not some fake bravado for the media and cameras like most of floyds opponents. and only reason cotto touched him up because he fought off the ropes alot and traded with cotto. then again alot of people were talkin noise like guerrero was "supposed" to be difficult for floyd and that wasnt the case

If Canelo had a couple more fights experience then this is Floyd's best opponent since Mosley... Trout Canelo was a very close fight.. Floyd watched that fight and thought "I can beat this guy, i have better skills than trout"

And he's right... If Canelo is down on the scorecards by the 8th round the fight is over and Floyd will take control.

No fight is easy... it's much harder than Guerrero or Ortiz lol.
