Canelo's stamina sucks. Cotto will dominate 2nd half.

these two fighters have stamina issues. they are just probably resisting the urge of peds being on the top level playing field.

I disagree at this weight Canelo will be strong and fit. He didn't tire in the second half against Laura.

I do think conditioning will be a factor in this fight. Cotto has Gavin MacMillan, GSP's S&C coach for his career, and Canelo gets by on youth. He's also known to be a bit lazy in the gym and is surrounded by yes-men. This will be one of those losses for Canelo where it ends up being beneficial in the end. Once he loses to Cotto, he will get a new corner and proceed to better himself. As of now, he's the boss of his team and works at his own pace.

Since Cotto got rid of Phil Lineman and hired MacMillan, he has been very strong and his stamina has improved tremendously. MacMillan has a differnt approach to preparing a guy for fighting. Instead of so much roadwork which can end up being counter-productive when excessive, he uses other methods and has his guys peak conditioned for the duration of the fight. For GSP, he had him peak conditioned for 5/5 min rounds. For Cotto, he will have him peak conditioned for 12/3 min rounds. The difference will show in this fight between Cotto and Canelo not only in skill and ring generalship, but also in preparation and conditioning.

    Youth over age.

Canelo's an experienced 25 yr old vs. a 34 yr old Cotto looking for an exit before facing GGG.

I see Canelo breaking down Cotto with punishing body shots.

Canelo wins in late round by TKO.

But a good pay day for Cotto. ;)
