To better inform you in the Chavez Jr., Golovkin 1 & 2, Fielding, Jacobs, and Kovalev fights we were at a weight disadvantage at the time of the fight.

    That’s another blatant lie.

Jacobs was at no weight disadvantage vs Canelo whatsoever. Jacobs was at much more of a weight disadvantage vs Derevyanchenko when he actually had to make the 10 lb rehydration limit. Vs Canelo he completely ignored the weight restriction. He had to pay a large fee as a result of not making it, but that didn't affect his performance since he chose to rehydrate well over the limit after making weight.

Kovalev's struggles to make weight (175) vs Canelo had nothing to do with the rehydration limit. You are trying to confuse him making 175 vs rehydration. It's being used as an excuse. Yes Kovalev did struggle to make 175 but that's his weight class, that's his problem. Kovalev is not known to rehydrate a lot after making weight as other fighters are known for like Jacobs.

Chavez Jr agreed to meet Canelo at 164.5. This was probably the best most fit version of Jr we've ever seen. 164.5 was a weight 10 lbs north of the highest weight Canelo had ever fought at up to that point. So lets be clear, Canelo was at a weight disadvantage there having to move up 10 lbs. Chavez Jr fought at Middleweight vs Martinez, he obviously was much more drained vs Martinez than he was vs Canelo. He looked like a skeleton at the weight-in vs Martinez whereas vs at the Canelo weigh-on he looked very healthy and even was complemented about how good he looked.

Given the circumstances involved in all of these bouts, it's hard to argue that any of these agreements were unfair to Canelo's opponents. The IBF has made 10 lb rehydration clauses standard, and whether you like it or not, it's done for "fighter safety". It's amazing that fans will use such dark intentions to try to discredit Canelo. No one complained when there was a 10 lb rehydration clauses when Mikey Garcia fought Errol Spence or when Rigo moved up to fight Loma. All of these were fair agreements. No one was drained unhealthily, and in the case of Jacobs he totally ignored the agreement and came in well over the 10 lb limit so saying he was at a weight disadvantage when he probably was a Cruiserweight on fight night is ludicrous.

You have confused Jacobs vs Canelo fight with his fight against GGG. It was GGG fight where he ignored the weight restriction, against Canelo he has done everything that was recquired by IBF

Jacobs missed it with Canelo as well.

“I knew it was a sacrifice I had to make,” Jacobs said after the bout. “Me hydrating just with water, I shot up to 170 pounds. I needed to put some more in my system. It was the best decision for me to go in there and give my all and not be depleted.”

Doesn't really change the fact that Canelo's team put in the rehydration clause. Money fighter gets his way.

"I don't know if we would've got the fight if we didn't accept the terms that Golden Boy set out," Jacobs said.

Edit: he weighed in at 173.6

Chavez was stone cold dead at that weight. I bet he would have struggled like hell to make 175 against a top level opponent, and he's been dragged down to 164.5, lol.

He was a human punch bag getting a payday. What's he done since, is the real question you have to ask.

And as for Canelo and the judges, I don't think it's quite as explicit as cash stuffed into envelopes (although it could be), it's a subtle implicit pressure.

Put it this way, if you're a Judge, are you going to put the brakes on a fighter whose combined future fights could be in the $billions??

Yeah good luck with that! Good luck being a high school substitute gym teacher when you've delivered those honest cards reflecting Canelo's total lack of dominance in a given fight.

The genius of the obvious corruption is that it doesn't need spelling out. Briefcases exchanged on park benches isn't necessary. The money itself says it all. It's hard coded into the fabric of Boxing reality. You want to give a $5 million fighter the win against a $100 million dollar fighter?? Good luck in your new career, Son!

Strictly speaking, there's no way to know because Clenelo has avoided fight night weigh ins like the plague for some time now. That kid balloons up like a rubber dinghy.

Do you know what their fight night weights were? If so, do you have a link or a source?
