No one's even mentioned them since the fight, Chepo and Eddy Reynoso should be given massive credit for Canelo's victory and the way he fought coming forward this time and being the aggressor. It was all part of their game-plan that had GGG confused.
I agree with you. Canelo was the aggressor. Most times if you land big shots and be aggressive you win the fight. In this case though I feel like Canelo's performance was better the first time. He was moving well and catching GGG with massive clean counters that werent seen this fight. GGG, like last fight, was mostly landing just the jab. We also didn't see those nice 1,2s or counter right hands from him. The public made this fight what it is. This fight was fought at pretty average level of skill. They said Canelo ran first fight. He didn't run this time yet again landed the bigger clean punches with no body work whatsoever from GGG. I dont think I have ever seen two fighters so evenly matched. I dont think we will see any difference in a 3rd fight.
GGG needs to train on hitting the heavy bag, running up hills, and chopping wood for 3rd fight in the Spring. If he can't put some serious hurt on Canelo by the 8th rd, then he isn't going to win a decision...ever.
So their talk of Golovkin being a donkey that can only fight coming forward had a little bit of merit to it.
Meh. It's a lot easier to come up with a strategy if you only need to be competitive in a round to win it.
Truth. Too many haters and fanboys on here to admit it though. GGG's whole camp begged Canelo to stand and fight. Not only did he do that, but he pushed GGG back and made him ineffective. Great gameplan!
