Canelo, more than anything else, is a marketing phenomenon. Mexicans love their boxing and he fills the bill. But let's not forget he is 27. If he stays in boxing and doesn't duck out early, he is going to be beaten several times. Charlo will probably beat him. Derev may. If he stays in the sport I bet he is beaten 3 or 4 more times if he is still fighting at 34.

It really depends on who and when he fights. No ones stoping him from pulling a Wilder or even Floyd and either fighting bums or timing fights perfectly, stacking the deck in his favour with big names.

If we assume that he ducks no one and everything is fair and square (lol) he definitely picks up a few Ls.

I agree. As we know, though, what typically happens with a top tier fighter is as they get late in their careers they only fight the top fighters for bigger money. They have earned it. Since Canelo is not typically a runner, as he was with GGG, when he sets and exchanges with guys like Charlo and Derevyanchenko he may get KO'd.

With BJS and Jacobs i could see why (Specially BJS 2.0 and overweight Jacobs) but Charlo and Derev are question marks against elite fighters and Canelo is elite fighter in his prime.

He did, he made the fight, but it was very hard for him. That speed is what is separating him from everyone else imo, he's slowing and its giving everyone on that list a serious chance now

No way he stands up to Golovkin that Macklin fought. He was hungry faster and chomping at the bit to do damage, not fazed by the return fire. That GGG v the best Canelo ive seen is a tko/ko for G in 7/8

We will never know. I don't think its a million miles from the result we got tbh. GGG prob takes more rounds off him, not sure if he stops him

Golovkin will knock out El Pollo, but the referee will pick El Pollo up and declare him the winner, Bob Bennett will approve......................
