That's how this sport goes mate. KHAN, mitchell etc both get's hate, no one is immuned.

 

khan has a higher propensity for being criticized due to his olympic career and the british fans proclaiming him king before beating anyone of note. mitchell did his thing quietly including easily beating prescott. so i wouldnt take these people very serious. most of these posters never boxed before and yet will ind fault with EVERY fighter.

 

I totally agree. In his interview he was a class act.. All the idiots on here ''knew already he had a glass chin'' - Come on - Katsidis could prob knock out 95% of his weight class..

mitchell gets the hate because of his hype

since he beat presscot the british press tried to make him out to be some kind of world class fighter.

he started believing in his own hype and started talking **** about other fighters.

yesterday we even had the commentators calling him the next ricky hatton and talking about a fight with juan manuel marquez after he beats katsidis (which obviously never happened).

 

mark my words James Degale will get more hate than anyone when he hits the world scene. but showing off wearing pink shorts in your 7th pro bout against a bum. come on what a loser. i watched his pro debut and he was booed after the fight.

to be honest im not a massive fan of him. hes very arrogant and lives in fantasy world in a frank warren moddecoddled nest.

i like kevin mitchell and he will be back.

 

Mitchell's come up the hard way, and fought his way back from a near career ending injury. I don't get the hate either. It's not even like Mitchell runs his mouth particularly. A bit of a verbal ruckus with Malignaggi is hardly anything to write home about.

Everytime a fighter gets beat he is either (a) shot, or (b) exposed. Older fighters invariably fall into (a), while younger fighters go into (b). Its an ESB rule.

 

I liked and supported Mitchell a lot but after the fight his trainer said that Mitchell had been messing about in training and cutting corners which is pretty unbelievable as it was the biggest fight of his career and very disappointing in general. He's let himself and all of his fans down.

 

As soon as a prospect got a defeat he his a Exposed bum.
If he his a etablished fighter and loose he his shut!!
