Can't believe the lot of you are falling for the old bait/last min switcharoo tactic.

Alexander Guerrero - hindsight Alexander still the better opponent and he didn't pick him LOL.

    Khan Berto

    abit different...

The sad thing is it wouldn't be surprising if he fought Berto. A young hungry lion solid competitor.

The question is, apart from the Golovkin challenge, which there's no point to as I wouldn't want to see Mayweather at 160 nor GGG at 154, would it make much difference who he fights next?

Thurman, Garcia, Khan, Brook... these would be decent wins but not do much for his legacy
Cotto would be a rinse and repeat of their first fight, it'd be at 154 again.
Bradley would be a superb win but never going to happen.
Berto does absolutely nothing for his legacy but the other valid opponents would just be solid wins, just like Maidana... nothing more or less. Mayweather has a few elite wins but mostly it's his consistency of solid opponents and more or less flawless mechanical dismantling of them... He can't fight Bradley, he can't fight Cotto, Brook is undefeated and the only other champ but as green as Thurman and Canelo was, Thurman is undefeated but would like a few more wins, suppose it'd be on the Alvarez level of win, except now that win looks elite due to what Canelo's gone on to achieve, beating Khan does absolutely nothing except show how he deals against another fast fighter. Garcia is undefeated but struggled heavily against Peterson and Herrera, he has nothing stylistically to shout about defeating either and is fighting Malignaggi.

They could meet at 154 though. Mayweather is the reigning WBC champ there. It won't happen, but not because it isn't possible. Floyd will simply not want to do it. I don't blame him though, and I don't consider it a duck either.

He will get no credit from re****ed fans, just like how some of those guys give Andre 0 credit beating Dawson at 68.

GGG should be staying at 60. Floyd 47.

Good theory, Mayweather would not ditch PPV where he'd still get half a million buys against a Khan/Thurman/Brook unless there was an endgame for it.
