What a journey for Froch. To make it to the pinnacle of the boxing world, picking up loads of hardcore fans along the way by displaying tons of grit and willingness to mix it up inside the ring and genuine wit outside the ring. And then losing 99% of your fanbase outside Britain in a single night because of a bull**** decision. Next up for Froch, getting knocked off his pinnacle by brutal KO and heading back into obscurity.
What the **** are you on mate! I watched the fight as a neutral and i scored it a draw with the point off for dirrell a win for froch. Froch was crap..but dirrell was equally ****! He could have taken control of the fight but instead he ran about clinching whenever in any type or range. He has himself to blame! Froch was made to look bad because the guy was 100 times faster than him... it happens.. Gatti v mayweather being an example. Froch is still a blood and guts warrior id say!
I got Froch 114-113, I think the judges that had him ahead 115-112 were completely wrong. No one was robbed in this fight. A robbery was Delahoya vs Sturm.
I had it 6-6. However, I felt that Dirrell was a brilliant boy fighting a good man. When Dirrell grows up (figuratively speaking) he will beat the man effortlessly imo. Perhaps he already grew up over the course of fight because he did fight superbly in rounds 11 and 12. Until then he mostly stunk out the joint, but 11 and 12 are worth building on for Dirrell. He answered a lot of questions, but lost because he is not a finished product, but in the making.
I was sat with Hozumi's hook,we scored the fight almost indentically, and before anyone picks holes in that statement,we scored the Taylor Abraham fight completely differently to each other up until the KO. I'm convinced Froch had hand damage,he had Dirrell backed into the corners many times but never threw the right hand. Maybe i'll get me some of them Dirrell vision glasse's
by James Slater at ringside - Tonight,in his native Nottingham, WBC 168 pound champion Carl Froch won a frustrating and at times messy split decision over unbeaten challenger Andre Dirrell. The styles of the two men just did not gel - largely, it must be said, due to the challenger's long periods of negativity - and the large crowd booed frequently during the action. After the 12 rounds that failed to catch fire were over, most of us at ringside felt "The Cobra" had done more than enough to have won pretty handily.:good
sturm v delahoya Hollyfield v Lewis Diaz v Malignaggi ring a bell.....oh yea U.S were so ****ing perfect A. atsch
