I'm going to start right out of the gate and say that, in NO WAY am I defending the lame "offer" GGG made to Ward. If he says he wants him, do it at 168.

NOW... If you look at Ring Magazines top 10 MW (not the be all end all, but as far at ratings bodies go, better than some of the governing bodies) These are the guys GGG is supposed to face:

    #1 Cotto... Won't fight GGG
    #2 IS GGG
#3 Andy Lee... GGG haters conveniently forget GGG was going to fight him, but his dad passed away. Completely legit reason.
    #4 Quillen - Won't fight GGG
#5 David Lemieux... already signed to fight him
#6 BJS... Flat out just said he won't fight GGG
    #7 Daniel Jacobs... see #6
#8 Hassan... he would fight GGG, but GGG is fighting the guy who just beat him
#9 Geale... we already saw what happened
    #10 Eubank Jr ... Please...GGG destroys him

The only real options are Hassan, Eubank and Lee. The top guys really are running from him, and that is coming right from their own mouths. Hard to hate on that,
    This content is protected
, he'll go to Ward after Lemieux if no other top MW will fight him. No diva catchweight garbage.

Just to add to that, GGG is the big ticket fighter (comparatively) in the division, so it's not like when Floyd was coming up and guys were ducking him because Floyd had no name at all and was a monster.

How can you even compare them?

GGG is 33, Floyd was in his early 20's coming up and living in the shadow of Mosley/DLH because Arum never wanted to promote Floyd.

Once Floyd hit his late 20's, he became an instant sensation and became a really big hit, not enormously big but he had to wait his chance.

Floyd sold out stadiums in his 20's and did well in his first PPV against Gatti at 29

    No name at all? Wtf?!

He was p4p when he was a year and half into his career. He was top 10 p4p since 1998. :patsch

But his opponents don't get paid well, so the big ticket fighter thing is a little warped. Plus he just had his first Million dollar fight with Willie :hey. Adrian Broner has been selling tickets and getting big checks still doesn't make him a great fighter or an awesome payday. Geale made more fighting Cotto than GGG.

If he has all the belts, they will be forced to fight him. That's why it's important to unify titles.

He's signed to fight Lemieux for the IBF. Andy Lee will fight him for the WBO. And Cotto either retires after the Canelo fight, passing the belt to GGG, or has to face GGG as the mandatory. If he can hold on a year or two there will be no more running. Plus, now that he's a pay per view star, he will have more money to lure unwilling opponents into the ring with him. There's no need to go up or down in weight.

Just pointing out facts. I know how much you like them. No major player wanted Floyd before Gatti because floyd brought ZERO dollars and a guaranteed L. Floyd made the jump to 54 and beat Oscar even thouugh Oscar had every advantage and became the hunted man.

Right now, GGG has a bigger name than Floyd did when guys were avoiding him, mostly due to social media generating hype much more quickly than before, and his fan friendly stlye.Given that GGG is the A side to most others in the division, it's pretty crazy that they mostly avoid him "right now". Also my reason why he should go after WArd.

While true about the paydays, you'd have to be dense to not believe that if any of these guys BEAT GGG, they basically inherit his hype, which = BIG $

What thwarts his opponents from fighting him is simple, they do NOT want to get knocked out. If Golovkin was a points fighter, people would be less afraid of stepping in the ring with him.

Not even close to $0, he was already making bigger purses b4 his first ppv than GGG is making now. :nut

They didn't want to fight Floyd because Floyd would end their fighter, not because Floyd had 0 sell.

Even Main Events never wanted the Floyd fight, not because he brought nothing, but because they all knew Floyd was going to demolish Gatti. Only Gatti wanted that fight.

A lot of fighters are avoiding GGG, true!!! But don't compare it with Floyd. Totally different situation. Floyd was held back because his promoter was putting him in ****ty situations and was always in ODLH's shadow.

People stepped in with Tyson even thought they knew they were going to be hurt badly. The key is the $$$. If GGG or K2 were willing to give more guys would line up to get knocked out.
