That was a serious ass whooping and a beautiful display of boxing that Bhop handed out. By a 43 year old version of Bhop to a fighter that was hyped as unstoppable. Real boxing fans need to see how its done by one of the most underrated fighters of the last 15 years. I will record it to save among my hundreds of fight vids and any fan of boxing would do the same.
The thing I'm most looking forward to is hearing HBO try to spin Hopkins victory. You know this is driving them crazy. It sure was Merchant and Lampley during the fight. Vindication for Bernard Hopkins after all the crap he's had to put up with for years. Yes! :good Suck on that, Larry Merchant and Jim Lampley. And Lou Dibella. And Ron Borges (who was cool in an interview with Hopkins after the fight; Ron's off the hook). And most of the boxing press.
I would if I had an HD DVD burner, man. The current economic situation makes it a bit hard to justify acquiring one with the fiance right now. :-(
i hope they show when hopkins was stareing down the media for like 5 minutes!! like "write about that you ****ing idiots, i dare u to doubt me again!"
I hope they show his stare down into press row after the fight. To me, that is more special than the fight itself. That's one of Hopkins' most special moments IMO. He almost broke down. How many times has Hopkins even come close to getting teary eyed let alone break down? I think never. It meant that much to him.
Yes. The 2 most dramatic boxing moments of the year...Hopkins staring down all the members of the media, and Cotto's face/reaction after the 2nd KO vs Margo.
