Can't we just give credit to both fighters?

You'd think that GGG killed someone with all the hate he's receiving...

Jacobs fought his heart, we saw that GGG has a granite chin, it was a close fight and you guys can only talk about is how GGG being "exposed"?

Ok so let's say he lost. What would you do? Just write him off and wait for the next guy with a "0"?

There have been a lot of threads recently as to whether a 0 matters or not and I for one believe that no, it doesn't. The Mayweather era is over guys.

I thought the fight was awesome and it made me a fan of Jacobs to be honest. You guys gotta learn to relax...

No losers tonight, on either of the last two fights.

That was as good as the sport gets.

Well that's what usually happens when you have extremely annoying nutriding fans. When Floyd had a tough fight with Maidana were you saying the same thing to all the anti-floyd threads?

Naww , Its not going to happen . Triple G is a hated fighter. You have to accept that . The posters on here that can't stand him are going to keep attacking him regardless. There's nothing we can do about it.

    Sadly your right... :(

And ellerbe, I joined here about a year after the first Mayweather/Maidana fight but I understand what your saying. Annoying fans from both sides is never good...

I feel like people are more trying to attack GGG fans than GGG himself. Most of us have respect for GGG, he's an elite talent, one of the best in this current era.

Golovkin beat a cheater who weighed as much as 190 lbs., or at least 185............I had it 8 rounds to 4 for Golovkin. Golovkin knocked Jacobs down, hurt him with an uppercut and jab, etc., Golovkin was never hurt, not even close............

Nothing against GGG the fighter, but his fans are terrible and hopefully they got a reality check tonight.

I agree to an extent that people place such high expectations on fighters that a close fight with the #2 in the division is a death sentence.

But to be fair we have seen GGG operate on a higher level, in the sense that things Jacobs has done before we've seen him handle from other fighters with ease. He usually cuts the ring like no one else. But the last two fights against Brook and now Jacobs, they've just circled him and his hands have stayed in place as he's chased them. We've seen him pump those right hands into fighters side stepping, so I'm wondering what's happened to stop that.

Part of my theory is that he was in his opponents shoes tonight when they usually face him, worried about Jacobs power and a bit fearful and gun shy. Not confident in himself, maybe he was weary of Jacobs power and figured risking getting KO'd at this stage after all the hype would kill his Canelo pay day. So he just tried to coast and win rounds. Take 0 risks. Only throw when he's confident, etc. But he's not very good at that style at all lol.

Great fight, close fight, wasnt expecting that. I thought Jacobs fought absolutlely fantastic, a real smart fight. If he was any more agressive he would of become reckless, if he had done any less he wouldnt of done enough to win rounds. And he went 12 with triple G.

GGG is just GGG. I always have credit for GGG. His work isnt flashy it doesnt dazzle but its usually brutally efficient. Not so much tonight though but it was enough to get the job done. GGG took Jacobs seriously and he beat the number 2 man in the division on points.
