Would you accept Floyds offer of a $40 000 000 flat fee knowing that you would avoid the Marquez knockout and the long road to redemption that comes with it?

I guess so. More money, and even if I lose, I don't think I'd get knocked out.

But you can say that for any fighter who has lost in something other than their biggest pay day.

    loaded question

you make decisions based on forecasted future events, not hindsight

the Marquez fight was a tossup at the time

fwiw, I'd have taken it even without knowing the way it played out

    Nope.

    **** him.

With half a brain PAC is set for life anyway. So tell Floyd 50/50 or forget it.

I'd have loved Pac to have turned around and said "everything in the pot. Winner takes 70%, loser 30%".

Which ever got me more money. If I'm going to get my ass beat before the entire world. I'd want the most money.

That better be for knockouts only because that opens the door to all sorts of corrupt judging.

No, it was a pathetic offer. It's supposed to cover both Pac and Arum. That's probably less than they made for either JMM 3 or 4, and those didn't even have any anticipation.
