I see a lot of people online are looking forward to this. They have another thing coming...

Mike can't string two sentences together. This is gonna be a VERY hard watch. Mike will probably have his strange handler (MK Ultra?) in the studio with him to talk on his behalf.

In one of many alternate realities Iron Mike is going to have a psychotic episode where he thinks he's back in the ring with Holyfied and Rogan is going to get annihiliated. If we're lucky it will be our reality.

Although Rogan broadcasts from so far up Wilder's arse these days that I struggle to get any reception anyway.

I've only seen the Teddy Atlas interview and Shannon Briggs with Joe. There might be another one or two boxing related people I'm missing. I've seen a lot of shorter clips that come up in my recommended with him relating to boxing that I've watched.

But this guy seems to be huge. I'm always seeing people tagging Joe Rogan saying 'get *insert name* on the podcast'. People are losing their heads that he is getting this illuminati musical artist Kanye West on his show. Jesus wept. Also, when he had that puppet Elon Musk on the show, that flooded the Internet. That Elon Musk puts out cringey video game/anime tweets to make him appear as a loveable geek, and people lap it up big time. He could tweet out bland aphorism's such as "always look left and right before crossing the road...after every dark night is a brighter day...etc" and millions would retweet it, just like they did with that fake Warren Buffet Twitter page. Ahhh people are so impressionable.

    Excuse my rant.

    When was that?

Here's a very recent one. I've seen plenty more and listened to a bit of his old podcast. He's not there mentally,

This interview will be Tyson mumbling a few words and his handler doing most of the talking about his weed business.

I want to watch them do DMT together. Then Tyson gets to tattoo Rogan's face with the image from his vision.

He just had Kelly Pavlik, Tyson Fury, and Deontay Wilder on in pretty quick succession. Before that, the only boxer I can remember him having on was Shannon Briggs. I've wanted more boxers on for about eight years now. Don't know why he's finally doing it after hundreds of mma guests. It's good exposure for boxing, even if I don't think he has very good interviews with them. Rogan appears to have watched very little boxing since the eighties and nineties, which he does appear to know fairly well. All of his references are to that time and he doesn't appear to know who is whom in relation to each other in our current scene. That was made fairly obvious by his taking Shannon Briggs seriously and saying that Wlad was ducking him, among other things. Also, he seemed to think Paulie Malignaggi was a major star and could do the kinds of ppv numbers with Conor that Floyd did. He slurps Floyd's balls and buys all the hype like a typical casual. He should know better, with all of his experience, but he's made a lot of errors just in prognosticating his own sport. Maybe, he's just not a good judge of talent. His friend Brendan Schaub who he does Fight Companion shows with, and who also has a show on Showtime Big Brown Breakdown where I believe he talks about boxing, knows a lot more about the current scene than Rogan does. But I also think that Rogan has been trying to catch up on the boxing scene lately and has been watching a few fights in the last six months or so, based upon remarks he's let drop.

He's a shill and a hype man for mma, but he seems mostly disinterested when it comes to boxing.

Rogan is pretty entertaining. A bit too much bro-science stuff for my liking, but if you see it for what it is and don't take it too seriously it's quite good value.

It's not really aimed at people who love boxing though so you're probably not the target audience. Whatever you think of Kanye West or Elon Musk - people will watch it. The Kanye content will get millions of views. From Rogan's perspective that's exactly what he wants so for his audience he's doing something right.

Rogan's shows with Atlas, Fury & Pavlik were pretty good. The one with Wilder is cringe material. Rogan's boxing knowledge is okay he gets stuff wrong which can be annoying and misleading for casual fans.
