There is no logical debate regarding Chang vs Carbajal, so I thought I'd go off on a tangent about Michael's often uncelebrated career.

Addie mate, if you haven't already, watch Matthew Franklin/Saad Muhammad; just sublime entertainment :good

:good His second fight with Yaqui Lopez is one of my top 5 fights of all time. Epic entertainment. Saad had to be one of the toughest mother****ers to ever lace up a pair of gloves.

I assume you mean the Marvin Johnson fights :good

conteh-saad 1 is one of my favourite fights to watch. It's got everything, immense skill, thunderous punching, closely-contested bouts of action, and the eventual (and inevitable) Miracle Matthew late round surge :good

Matthew Saad Muhammad (then Franklin) vs Marvin Johnson I was incredible. And it was only contested for the NABF title. Great comeback against Richie Kates as well, after looking to be out in a previous round.

Then while you're here I suggest you watch Sung Kil moon vs Khaokor Galaxy 1&2 if you haven't already:lol:

Both on youtube. The first is a Cold War but it's worth it to be surprised by the 2nd, which is a damn good fight and performance by a certain individual (whom I go on about so much some people probably think I got man love for him:patsch:rofl)

Just out of interest how about Pascual Perez vs Chang for you i think he beats Chang more often than not.

Mantequilla i kinda disagree Chang is abit aesthetically pleasing but in a different way he is just pure awesome, hes not the most refined but he is just a whirlwind and its brillaint to watch and very very effective. But i agree he was very inconsistent but he had a heap of Heart that helped him win when his reflexes gave way.

I might be remembering wrong but im sure that was me that said taht bit in bold although i do think someone before me said that Chang had no bad stylistic match ups and i later said he went through them.

Really do you think Chang is effective when he steps back? i always think hes at his best when he literally goes through styles with his whirlwind attack but he has those reflexes to get away with it to an extent. When he backs up and all that he isnt as good although in his prime he didnt back up and when he did it was effective as it was a change then straight back in.

Also i think Perez is just 2 physically strong for Chang and can nearly atch him for speed and hits alot harder. Also on Lopez i think if anyone had a bad style for Chang it was him but i still think at Light Fly Chang goes through him.

First time i seen that performance i was amazed but i watched it again and i wasnt impressed as much but Chang was 19 then!!!!

I think one of his best is Zapata 1

Nah i cant speak highly enough of the 2nd fight

watch the 2nd one you have too

    understatement

    Do you see now?

Do you see why I was trying to get you to watch that fight, for how long now, six months?!?!? Maybe not that long but it seems that way.

I kept saying you of all people would really dig that 2nd fight. I'm glad you did, do you see why I rate him so highly now? Okay there are fighters you can easily conceive as beating him (Mantequilla laid down a fantastic blueprint for that and I agree with him wholeheartedly) but there's NO ONE (and I'm including the Holy three) that wouldn't have their hands full with him.

EDIT: The Wilfredo Vasquez fight is another dandy :good
