I always ranked Chavez-Taylor as the fight of the 90's but I just rewatched this classic and have now changed my mind. This possesses some of the best action exchanges between two big punching big hearted fighters this side of Corrales-Castillo 1 (which this fight reminds me a lot of in minature). The action is spectacular, the shifts in momentum unpredictable, and the intensity amazing. For mine in represents boxing at its finest and if fights two and three beween Chiquita and Carbajal didn't measure up who cares! They gave fight fans this stone classic:bbb Was there a better fight during the 90's and is it up there with the best ever? (I reckon it is) [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fq_dJQTYk1U[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9xveWkMnX3g[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uw-M3H9iG-I[/ame]
Even in context it was great fight. Two champions, one undefeated. I don't know much aboy the history of light fly apart from people like Ricardo Lopez. Will these guys be recognised as some the better Light Flyes or just as very good?
Was a awesome fight with multiple knockdowns and a dramatic finish. Had something for evreyone. Would be one of my picks for the 1990's
