just a quick question iv hurt my knee and cant run or bike for a couple of weeks, I also dont have access to a heavy bag. Im lookin to build more strenth and a bit more mass so im doing a weight lifting program on mon/wed/fri my question is: can i do circuit training with dumbells and body weight on my days off from lifting heavy weights or is that to much for the muscles if so any ideas to build up my cardio.

my plan was to do tabata training on the tue/thur
would that be to much for my body or is that ok ???

From experience, it is not easy to do any weight training with the knee injured. You use your legs a hell of a lot without meaning to. You only notice when you are injured.

Let the thing heal and go swimming.

Only you can find out what works 100% for you. Be patient and experiment, but train sensibly.

I'd probably avoid working the muscles ou have just trained the previous day if your goal is gaining mass

Depends how bad the knee is. I can't do any running right now due to a knee injury but I can still skip, do burpees, use the airdyne bike my gym has, use a rowing machine.

    I do miss running though.

Injuries exist to be ignored. You need stories to tell your grandchildren. See this crooked wrist? This is when grandpa did an Ironman with a broken arm :yep

I agree with brown bomber, although I have no idea what your weight routine is. That would be too much on the Central Nervous System, especially if you are training for mass gains.

Yeah I was think that was to much I was think of cutting the weight lifting down.

    How's does this sound:
    Monday weight training compound exercises
    Wednesday circuit
    Friday same as Monday

But just take it easy with every thing till the knees better how does that sound
