    RBR summary breakdown

1 - Close, feeling out session, tit for tat. Neither established themselves, and they made each other miss a fair amount while each got a sense of what the other was bringing to the table - but if you pay attention to the connected body shots they tilted it numerically in Marquez's favor.
    10-9 Marquez.

2 - Clearly Pacquiao's, moved around too much for Marquez to land on and got in a couple of nice straight lefts. Pacquiao's speed and timing getting his shots off were significantly greater as Marquez fanned several times.
    19-19 even.

3 - Pacquiao down. Automatic 10-8 for Marquez. Pacquiao was actually doing well before the knockdown, continuing his rhythm from the 2nd. Marquez was biding his time and found the sweet spot. Pacquiao recovered quickly but was clearly rattled.
    29-27 Marquez.

4 - Clearly Marquez's. The right hand continued to dominate, although he surprised and bothered Pacquiao at one point with a rapier left jab as Pacquiao was jumping in.
    39-36 Marquez

5 - Marquez down. Automatic 10-8 for Pacquiao. It would have been Pacquiao's even without the knockdown, which itself wasn't the most authoritative (far less so than Marquez's in the 3rd) - just Marquez scrabbling at the ground to retain his balance after drifting into a left with one foot unglued from the canvas. After the knockdown, they went to war and swapped bombs with Pacquiao getting the slight better but Marquez having moments.
    47-46 Marquez.

6 - Incomplete. Would have been Pacquiao's round had the KO not come. The left was doing damage. He was literally one second away from tying it up on my card at 56-56.

Add your own score and, preferably, break down your RBR justifications. :good

I had Pacquiao by 1 because I gave him the 1st, but that round could've easily been scored for Marquez as well. Other than that, my scorecard looked the same yours did. I had Manny winning the 6th clearly before the KO, so he'd have been up by 2.

    I scored round 1 10-10 a draw... too close.

    Good judges.

Some close rounds, I figured Pacquiao was up by a point or two before the stoppage just watching without scoring.

Same as Rock, Pac up by one because I also gave him the 1st.

Also had Manny winning the 6th hands down before devine intervention left me stunned for a few seconds staring motionless at my TV.
I didn't see the punch (angle) and just saw Manny drop like he got sudden heart failure or something. It took a couple of seconds, with some help from the commentators that it was Marquez' right hook that helped him get there. (they kept insisting it was a left, even after 3 replays :!:).

But I had him up 47-46 going in to the 6th and final round.

Exactly what I thought, too. I also though the bell had rung before the punch landed.

I think if we look at the non-knockdown rounds, it's pretty clear to everyone that Pacquiao took the 2nd and Marquez the 4th.

Those weird cards that have 48-45 for Pacquiao mean that in 1-5 they only gave Marquez the 3rd with the 10-8 for the knockdown. :huh How they could possibly have given Pacquiao the 4th, I have no idea. It was as clear for Marquez as the 2nd was for Pacquiao.

So the only real debate is the 1st.

I'd love to hear detailed arguments from people who scored it for either. I know it was a tough one to score, as they were evenly matched and the action hadn't really come up to a full boil yet. I'm just curious to see what people's rationale was for leaning one way or the other based on what action there was.
