First time has actually fought and stopped an opponent on world level. Hardly found himself in any trouble. I have seen people criticise his performance and I have done in the past, but that was Tony best performance in his career.
Miranda carried quite a threat and yes other opponents may have dealt with Miranda more effectively. But with the skills Bellew has he did very well. His head movement got him out of trouble and he actually countered really well.

Well this and the Cleverly fight tell me that Bellew is World level, i was a sceptic after the Ajisafe fight and the first McKenzie fight, but since Bellew has improved alot , think those fights got Tony thinking and thankfully he went back to his grass roots and is now boxer puncher. Now im a fan.

Cleverly has a belt but hasnt fought a world class opponent yet. Cloud and Dawson are the ones to beat.

Miranda probably isnt a world class LHW, but its a good win on paper. He beat Bute in the first bout.

    World level? :rofl

  11. I actaully think Tony was below par last night but still showed his class by being able to beat a world class operator and dangerous puncher in Edison Miranda. I think he will peform to his optimum once the big title oppurtunuites come within the next 12-18 months and id deffo pick him to beat Nathan Clev in a rematch. If Clev aint careful with all these careful cherry picking fights ****** is supplying him with just to fill up slots on boxnation Bellew could overtake him in terms of fan appeal and fame.

Miranda was world class at MW, he's simply a "name" and gatekeeper by this point.

This is correct.Bellew was hesitant and very modest in his output.Miranda has been beaten from piller to post in many contest and he's shot .

  14. This is still someone who in the last three years went the distance with ward and sparked sierra in a round i was dissapointed tony didnt get rid of him earlier and i think he could of done if he stepped on the gas in round 5 but a wins a win.

For me it was just a case of Bellew wanting to make sure he had taken any idea out of Miranda's head he could win the fight other than by catching him with a desperate shot.

Once Bellew relaxed a bit more from the 5th round on he picked off Miranda with some good technical boxing broke him down & Miranda looked for a way out.

Miranda has obviously seen better days but for Bellew any mistake saturday & we would all be discussing where does he go?Name opponent & if as planned he may be out again on Froch's undercard it is a fight he can really push on from.
