i agree that the night Shane beat Oscar in LA was great...........

    he wont replicate that one...

    Oscar beating vargas was memorable..

    Hopkins v Tito ..

James Toney either Jirov or Holyfield..

    great fights....

Roy Jones -TarverII: Brilliant fighter, but ultimately blew it

Toney - Ruiz: Steroids taint his legacy

Hopkins - Trinidad: Redemption after seven+ years of rebuilding

Calzaghe - Eubank: Excellent fighter, but comes along five years to late

Floyd Mayweather - Leonard: Shows he is tough journeyman

Oscar - ChavezI: de la Hoya proves he is for real, but Chavez's poor preparation robs everyone of a proper fight and clean finish.

Mosley - de la HoyaI: Mosley proves he is more than hype

Hatton -Tszyu: Hatton shows nice blokes can also be world class fighters.

PAC - BarreraI: After a fair amount of decent wins, Paciquao takes his chance to show to a new audience how good he is.

It's a great term 'career defining fights', but in truth careers define careers.

A career defining fight isn't the biggest win. Sometimes it isn't even a win.
