Lewis didnt ruin Holyfield, thats horse****. Holyfield couldnt pull the trigger by the first time he fought Lewis, hell he even looked bad against Vaugn Bean. That being said I had an old Holyfield beating Lewis in the rematch and so did a lot of other people.

Whoever said he needed a draw to beat Ruiz needs to go back and watch all three of those fights. Holy deserved them all.

If anybody ever "ruined" Holyfield it would have been Bowe who dished out more punishment in their first fight (not to mention all three) than Lewis ever did in two bouts. But I dont agree that Holyfield was ever ruined by anyone other than father time.

I also dont think Lewis ruined Tua. Tua was what he was. A durable but very limited fighter who only had one punch, a left hook. If you took that away from him you could beat him. Several fighters like Maskaev, Rahman, Izon, etc showed how limited Tua was they just werent able execute their game plan to the final bell (Rahman could have but Tua cheap shotted him).

In addition to this Tua is a guy who to me is much like George Chuvalo. His durability is overrated because these guys basically shut down when they get tagged real good and simply march forward trying to give the impression of aggression while really not doing much in order to not open themselves to counters and risk getting hurt. In the Lewis fight Tua got hurt to the body (his real achiles heal going back to the amateurs) very early in the fight and then shut down until about 10 seconds before the final bell. Then suddenly he leaps in foolishly trying to look like he was actually trying. Horse****. I still want my money from that ridiculous non effort. He makes Clottey and Akinwande look like a prime Tyson.

Calzaghe destroying Lacy deserves a mention.

I think Kelly Pavlik ruined Taylor.

Lacy and Taylor were always overrated. Taylor didnt deserve his two wins over Hopkins and then defended his title against a string of 154 pounders and could barely beat them.

As for Lacy, well, when your two best wins are an aged Robin Reid and Syd Vanderpool there isnt much more to say...
