    Just back from the VIP show up in Wigan.

    Another cracking small hall bill - topped off by Carl Dliks picking up the British Masters Light Heavyweight Title. Carl won over 10x3's against Billy Boyle. Great main event fight.

    Other results as follows;

    Nick Quigley - Won on PTS over 4X3's against Karl Allen.

    Jon Kays - Won on PTS against a super durable Anthony Hanna. Jon looked very impressive again tonight.

    Steven Jennings - Win by first round KO against Henry Janes. Jenko looked incredibly sharp tonight; one to watch for the future without a doubt.

    Jack Arnfield - PTS Win over Lee Noble. Excellent fight that was no stop action from first to last bell. Jack very impressive (as was Noble to be honest)

    I like Billy Boyle. Great guy and a very tough bloke. Only doing the sport for fun really.

    Dilks is good enough to challenge for domestic belts soon.

    He's tough as ****... As for Dilks i'm not sold just yet. He's decent enough but he struggled at times last night...

    Boyle is a former Para and seems to be one of those guys that is just good at fighting..too crude and limited to ever bother the guys around the top 10 in Britain but always entertaining. I like Dilks...I do not think he should be matched with Clev but maybe with Haymer and a couple more decent fighters before going for Oakey and the rest. He can certainly make an impression at domestic level.

    Glad to see Noble still fighting too. He is a good journeyman and can definetly fight when in the right mood.

    Arnfield wasn't punch perfect but some of his combinations oozed class. That said there is no way a lad of his dynamics and talent should be fighting on the inside that consistently- he's got a lovely jab and a sharp right hand and uppercut. He seems to have neglected that and gone down the Ricky Hatton infighting route which he does well- but he'd be a more difficult proposition if he used his height and reach. Noble came to fight and Arnfield largely dominated him but he's even better then he showed last night.
