Sounds like Carl linking up with Jamie Moore as a trainer. If that is the case I seem him signing with Matchroom too.
I think its more likely he goes with VIP. Steve Woods is doing really well atm and is a good promoter/manager. Steve has good relations with matchroom/sky and wazza/bt. He will get you the best deal whilst keeping your options open. He has nearly 100 fighters on his books and among his top fighters arr josh warrington, terry flanaghan , zelfa barrett And tommy coyle Steve woods has got good deals for all of the above. Jamie moore is close to steve and he was managed by him.
I think if he wants the really top drawer fights, then Hearn is his best option. CF has said himself he only has about 2 years / 5 fights left. Can any of the others get him Selby & Santa Cruz 3? I can see him fighting Quigg again before he retires.
If Carl goes with Jamie Moore I think it would be a bad move. As much as Jamie comes across as a top bloke he has done nothing to suggest he's currently in the A league of coaches in the UK. Of top of my head I could think of at least a dozen coaches that seem better.
Frampton should move to the states and find a good trainer there. John David Jackson would be a good fit. That or stay here and train under Booth.
Hope Carl isn't thinking he can train himself now, using Jamie to keep him ticking over in the gym. Doesn't matter what age you are, or how experienced you are, you need a proper trainer taking the lead. Carl already hasn't got great stamina and his last performance was poor. My feeling was that he needed an impressionable trainer with new ideas and a thorough gameplan for Carl moving forward. I'm not optimistic about Carl's future to be honest but we'll see how it goes. Would love to see another couple of great performances from him.
That is true, I don't know if him and Jamie are friends, I believe him and Shane were already mates, so that might help.
Yes maybe carl and shane were friends before. Tbh im as suprised as you probably were with this news. Like you say Moog, i wouldnt have Jamie in the top 10 candidates. Jamie hasnt done anything particulary exceptional with tommy coyle and one could argue Tommy has got worse since he went with Moore.
I like Jamie Moore, decent fighter, decent analysis of fights, but I don't think Frampton should pick him for a trainer
Jamie Moore's tweeted a picture of them both together in a house wasting dinner, so looks like there could be something in this story. Have to say if Carl goes with him Jamie had won a watch, as he's certainly not someone who crossed my mind as a possible coach for Carl. Maybe because he doesn't have a stable of fighters Carl fancies a trainer who can give him plenty one on one time.
