Someone with brains can see what the mcguigans were doing,they had Blaine,Barry,Shane,Jake and his mum,all on Framptons payroll.The only legit ones who should be their were Shane and Barry.He realised too late.For me he would have been five times as big and ten times money wise,if he stayed with his original promoters of Matchroom back in 2013.
I think money would be a factor in this as well as failing to get Santa Cruz to Belfast. Frampton said he was 9lbs over weight the night before the weigh in for his last fight. That's outrageous and how can that happen?
Those people were working on Carls behalf. So Blaine, Barry, Shane Jake and their mum should all have been working for Carl for nothing? Is Match room a one-man band? Does Eddie have staff? Do Matchroom staff work foe Eddie for free? Does Warren have staff? etc etc (I agree financially Sky/Matchroom was the way to go for Carl - but I salute any new outfit. A monopoly is bad in any business)
Are you for real? Who gives a flying **** if they where advertised or not. I'm a Frampton fan, have travelled up from Dublin for 4 of his fights. And they only reason he missed weight is because he himself wasn't disciplined enough. Unless the mcguigans held carl down and force fed him food, then I can't see how any blame can be laid at their feet. From the outside looking in, it looks to me that Frampton wants the easiest of training camps. I'm not saying he's lazy, but he wants to drop the kids to school, go out with them on the weekends and still train 5 days a week in England. In professional boxing, that lack of dedication isn't possible. It looks to me like he's basically training himself now. Much like when Groves went to Paddy Fitzpatrick, yeah there's a body in the corner, but who's really calling the shots? I wish carl all the best, but he won't win another world title, he's too civilised now.
I'm very much for real. I was responding to a post about him paying 5 members of the McGuigan family. The poster was fine with this as they were "working for him". I was simply questioning if they were the best people for the job and if their positions were only available to people called McGuigan.
