Would agree he didn't want any part of Rigo, but he didn't get Rigo's belt handed to him. Rigo was stripped of his WBO belt for inactivity and fighting chumps even when he did fight - this wasn't awarded to Frampton and he's never held it. He was also the WBA Super champ and Quigg was the regular belt holder - before losing it to Frampton.

I wouldn't rule out the fight happening in future if there's ever any money in it, but Frampton couldn't make the SBW limit comfortably enough to fight Rigo.

Fighter of the Year is based on the opponents you face, not on the ones you didn't. Frampton had solid opposition in a year that some of the top guys dragged people up two weight classes or fought tune-up after tune-up.

Or maybe its time for them to actually rrt and make fights rather than roar about no one wanting to fight them and doing nothing towards it

Loma said he would fight rigo at 126 and rigo said no. Rigos previous management said he turned down lots of good fight offers

Lara is happy fighting the Foreman's of the world while roaring on twitter about ggg.

    They make no effort

A year and a half ago Leo Santa Cruz was called the biggest bum in boxing by just about every poster on this forum, day in and day out. Now, a questionable win against him makes you fighter of the year here.

Tell Loma to rematch Salido and Framp to fight Rigo. That ***** made answer he gave Rigo before he moved up is enough that Loma would never get my vote for foty even if he deserved it and he doesn't.

He did deserve it, rigo ducked him and he's ex management team said he turned down lots of fights so maybe we should out more of a blame on him for he's inactivity

Frampton was ordered to fight Rigo. He ducked.

I'm not denying that. I'm just saying that it was at SBW, which he can't reasonably make anymore.

Ward took the zero of Kovalev. Frampton had a great year but ducked Rigo to go up and fight LSC.

Kovalev has a good case for fighter of the year though

Lara does not have the same skill level that Rigo does. Stop it.

He was fighting chumps because no one would fight him, Frampton and Quigg being among them. He was able to make 122 comfortably enough, he's a tiny man who just ran from Rigo lol.

You can't blame Frampton for chasing the big money though. Rigo as good as he is just didn't bring the funds to the table, he's a high risk/Low reward for just about everybody in or Around his division. It sucks, but it is what it is.

I don't care for his chasing for money, it has effected the status of what he has achieved as he stole the belt from Rigo in the Quigg bout. I do blame him when it comes to accolades, and the very act of ducking the main guy in your division does prevent you from calling yourself 'fighter of the year' as true fighters will take up the challenge.
