Carl Frampton to face Jermeny Parodi this Oct, as Martinez fights for IBF title.....

I was at the presser yesterday.

The way they put it was this is an eliminator for the IBF title.

The winner of Kiko v Romero on Saturday has a mandatory within 90 days against Mathebula, Frampton will then face the winner of that fight as long as he beats Parodi.

 

Whatever way you look at it he's miles behind Quigg.

Quigg hasn't got a world title shot, its for a paper WBA title.

Rigondeax is WBA champ and that isn't who Quigg is fighting.

Parodi is as good a fight as they could get given the circumstances, this fight will put Frampton is a great position with the IBF were he will get a chance to win a REAL world title.

Frampton will be making good money in 2 / 3 fights in Belfast, whilst putting himself in the mandatory position

 

Quiggs been offered to fight Frampton a couple of times and didn't want it.

Frampton is European Champion and headlines sold out shows in his hometown, miles behind your arse!!

Honestly man I'm not offended by that even though I'm a paddy.
But it mitigates all your points when one comes out with that kind of statement.

I could understand bias being used when an English fighter is fighting an Irish fighter in the brit forum and there is a bit of banter.
But all us "paddies" are pointing out (as well as some British posters too) is that given the inactivity, combined with paradoi's record and the fact that it secures a mandatory title (which is what Hearn was pushing for anyway before Frampton left him) is not a bad fight.:rofl

 

It is however their own fault that he's been inactive, and so's the 'situation' someone alluded too in not having the time to find a better fight, they had the time and did **** all with it. I might be missing something, but Frampton will have been out for 8 months when he next fights, has he had injuries, or has the cyclone just been playing silly bollocks?
