I thought I made it clear,he wasn't ready and I see no reason to disbelieve someone who has previously been upfront and honest throughout his career. Why does Ricky need to lie? I'm sure if quite had said it will be bigger next year then Ricky would have understood and made this known,why wouldn't he?

There were no terms for Frampton So why keep bringing it up?
As for fobbing him off,yes a deal with Espn or Goldenboy,one of the biggest companies withing boxing is a good way to fob someone off. Jees people on this board cry out for our fighters to go abroad and get experience,he turns it down and it's his promoters fault for even offering it.

Did the statement from hatton say ' he wasn't ready as he thought he would lose' or just an unspecified he wasn't ready? If my misses asks me if I want my tea and I say I'm not ready does that mean I'm not hungry, I'm busy and il have it later, I'm going out for a pint. From that statement you have made your own assumption that he didn't want the fight because you interpreted it that way.As for the terms of the offer how on earth can you make an offer with no terms? And as for why does Ricky need to lie take a look at his personal life he's hardly the most credible person in the world is he. Also when fighters go to America they tend to earn a lot less money until they are established so to go and fight over there you will be matched a lot harder for lowere purses, some people would take the leap but for others it's not the right way to go. If your an English fighter who wants to stay based over here by the time you have flown out 3 or 4 weeks prior to your fight and paid for your trainer to do the same plus paid for digs for the pair of you for the duration of time you are there your crappy wage has just halved so maybe it's not for everyone

 

You have made your own assumption he wanted to wait so the fight was bigger,mine is he didn't feel ready boxing wiSe. If that was the case why not just say 'I want to wait till the fights bigger'?

Ricky's personal life,so because he made mistakes he is prone to lying to fans etc,even though through his entire career he was one of the most open and approachable boxers known? For me I just can't see why he would lie about that.
As for America etc,the point was that plus Espn,Frampton these are opportunities to progress, who knows what GB offered,the fact is the opps were there,for whatever reason he turned them down.

 

Yeh but he obviously turned them down for a reason. I haven't made my own assumptions about the fight being bigger it's publicly known that quigg says the fight will be made down the line and he wants the fight that's what he always says in his interviews. As for Ricky offering the frampton fight on his terms, the fight had previously been offered first by Hearn when quigg had already signed to fight Monroe and then more recently when ****** made an offer upon signing frampton. Ricky telling quigg he was prepared to put something together for the frampton fight is complete bs. If quigg would have said ok let's do it how would Ricky have aired it, on loaded tv? He would have had to go to Hearn and put it on sky where Hearn and frampton would have dictated the split on money, the location etc. Ricky had no power over the situation and has just made comments such as this to try and make quigg look bad
