Carl Frampton v Kiko Martinez 2, September 6th in Belfast for the IBF World Title. What do you all think about that ?, im a little disappointed as I think he beats him any time really.

Ideally I would have like to see Frampton fight Santa Cruz or Quigg but you cant blame him for choosing the Kiko fight really.

He is fighting somebody he has already beaten in front of a massive home crown for a genuine World Title. I just hope that if he beats Kiko we will see him in some more big fights at Super-Bantamweight in the future. Frampton could probably sell out the Odyssey boxing against somebody without any limbs, I hope the McGuigan's dont get greedy over his popularity and still have him in exciting fights for the fans in the future.

I wish Carl all the best though, he is a top fighter...

sorry what unification would this be with Quigg Rigo is WBA and WBO champion, Kiko IBF and LSC WBC. Good defense for Carl to make vs Quigg.

Carl might stop Kiko again, but it won't be easy. Remember how many months Carl was off after the Martinez fight...

I think he's suggesting that Quigg might take the WBC belt off Santa Cruz, then a Scott v Carl unification.

Why would you be disappointed? This is the best outcome for Carl. Fight for a legitimate world title in front of what is said to be a crowd of 20,000. A fight that builds up his profile and makes him a lucrative option for fighters in his division.

Not bad really, compared to some of the opponents he has faced since moving to ****** this is a world title fight at the end of the day... until the stoppage last time it was at least fairly competitive

This is a hard fight for both guys. Martinez is on the form of his life. So happy this has been signed, it'll be the first world title fight I'll of been to .

How do you know the crowd will be 20,000? Do you know the venue?

I reckon it will be in Ravenhill, the Rugby ground. Frampton beats Martinez everyday of the week. Kiko can cause him problems but Carl won't lose.

Barry has said in the past that if Frampton was to fight for a world-title they'll look for a venue larger than the Odyssey.

McGuigan added that the two indoor venues would be "too small" for the expected 20,000 spectators and that will lead to speculation that the fight may take place in the Balmoral Showgrounds close to the King's Hall.

Saw a news piece on BBC NI Barry said Raven Hill is not available, he said they will set up to get 20k into the stadium the most likely it seems is the Balmoral Showground just opposite the Kings Hall.

They would want to pin down a venue or it will get embarrassing....
