he will finish this fight earlier than the last just put him in with quigg few fights later the winner faces rigo as kiko complained whinged moaned to the ibf for this reencounter maybe he purposed the first stoppage was criminal
Kiko has what Carl wants. It's not a question of some meaningless spurious rematch between two pugs that no one wants to see.... that WOULD be pointless. We don't live in a perfect world and the fact is that rightly or wrongly kiko beat Carl to a world title. In we lived in an ideal world that wouldn't have happened, but we don't, and it did. The rematch is the solution. Besides..they are well matched and it should be a great fight, just like their first was.
a relaxed Frampton on the fight http://www.irish-boxing.com/video-frampton-titanic-quarter-is-one-of-the-best-boxing-venues-ever/ Kiko Martinez talks about the rematch http://www.irish-boxing.com/video-k...s-carl-frampton-fight-at-the-titanic-quarter/ the head to head http://www.irish-boxing.com/video-frampton-martinez-titanic-head-to-head/
He has improved since losing to Monroe years ago, but not fince fighting Frampton the first time, everybody said tha twas the best Kiko they had ever seen fighting Frampton that night (apart from those who said he was passed his best) Frampton is just better than Romero or Mathebula
I honestly thought Martinez had turned the fight around and Carl was in trouble before Carl pulled the KO out of the bag. Hope Carl manages it again because it's obvious Martinez is a juicing f a cking cheat.
Respect your opinion, and others have said the same thing too...but i would respectfully disagree....if you watch the last round again it looks fairly obvious that Carl had finally cracked kiko. Kiko shot his load with a big push in the 8th but Kiko had no success at all in the two and a half minutes of that 9th round and Carl was landing everything he threw. Granted the actual one punch ko was a big shock, but when I saw the fight again , the writing was on the wall for kiko. Yes he was still marching forward in the ninth but Carl was picking him off with some lovely sharp single shots, and kiko was reduced to just plodding after him, landing nothing. :good Not saying for one minute it was an easy win for Carl though...his swollen face told the story...
If Sarmiento is clever enough to teach Kiko to throw the uppercut when Carl bends under the waist line in close... it could be enough to make the rematch interesting :-D
Carl was lucky not to get penalised for all the bending below the waist. He will have to come up with another way to neutralise kiko in close this time. He can't count on the ref turning a blind eye again ..plus kikos corner will surely raise a stink about it if it happens again...
