Cummings throws a few jabs into the guard, a few squeaking through planted between the eyes, and bends in to hook the body. Mutafchiev blocks in retreat and takes a few slashing combos under the elbows. Cummings is walking him down throwing all the punches so far. Double jab leaning over to his left, right uppercut from Cummings reaching underneath Mutafchiev's arms to back him up and lift him onto his toes. Cummings is putting together looping rights and left hooks backing Mutafchiev onto the ropes. Mutafchiev bobs up and down and jogs in reverse, popping a high jab. Cummings dips forward, moving his head to slip the jab, and keeps advancing with body jabs and hooks up high around Mutafchiev's thumbs.

Mutafchiev is still getting pushed around, taking abuse with his arms wrapped over his face, bouncing at the knees but getting rocked involuntarily on the move, taking more steps than necessary. Cummings is stalking and throwing combos at the same measured and steady pace, mixing up to head and body.

Mutafchiev is getting ripped with virtually unguarded shots to head and body now, hardly in this even defensively anymore. Waved off.

Novices in with absolute stiffs are very difficult to read.

The offensive tools all seems to be there, although he certainly is no speed demon. Just a good methodical hitter, especially going to the body.

Conlan sticks his jab, standing up straight, then dives in, head wedged into Smoes' armpit ducking past a jab. Conlan is effectively submerging below every Smoes jab and lighting up the body with combinations of scooping rights and left hooks. Smoes is caught trying to hook with Conlan in the pocket, getting turned and backed up with a climbing hook on the jaw. Smoes is using jab feints on the outside, hoping to draw a lead from Conlan and exploit him without committing to stepping inside. Conlan just creeps after him, not giving him any chances.
