Kirilov lands a cheeky right hand before circling out with his arms down. McCullough is jabbing into the gloves and putting up high rights on the forehead of Kirilov (some caught partially on the thumb). Kirilov is circling around the ring, slowly, turning and keeping off the ropes just in time. McCullough keeps walking along, unhurried, taking long pot shots.

Round 6

Short hook by Kirilov slicing inside, getting his lead foot in past McCullough's. Good side to side defensive leans in the pocket by Kirilov, putting up backhanded jabs. McCullough backs him out with jabs stepping back to line up his aim and then drills rights in behind Kirilov's ear. McCullough is now the one boxing and moving, skating the ropes and throwing long jabs as Kirilov plays the aggressor in a low slanted crouch. Kirilov is trying to hook up from the hip and then quickly cover up before McCullough can work a counter jab off his blocks and parries. Kirilov slaps with his left forearm at the head of McCullough leaning in, tangling with McCullough's right blocking arm.

Dmitry is at least acting confident now, but this is beyond working his way into now. He needs - and can in no way secure (unless McCullough gasses horribly all of a sudden or is harboring a crystal jaw) - a KO.
