Massive Frampton round, some huge right hands landed but more so that he seems to be able to bully him at will.

Nonito has landed some sharp uppercuts inside but a bit like Lopez Vs Penalosa it seems not to be having enough impact.

Despite Nonito being clearly post-prime, Frampton has clearly trained well and is back to his old self. One thing he does so well is work the combination and move his feet out of range, everything he's doing is coming off. Love how he worked over Donaire on the inside and protected himself from the uppercuts.

    Round 4
Frampton starting to bully Donaire, pinning him against the ropes and landing head and body shots. Frampton's speed and his feints are causing serious problems for Donaire.
    Frampton 10-9
    Frampton 40-36

Frampton just should take his foot off the gas and box to a UD for my bet

Although Nonito has a much better overall résumé than Frampton, you make a true enough observation. I liked Nonito, but I was never a big advocate of the extremes of acclaim he received. When he faced bigger guys, they were often very limited. And the more skilled boxers he faced were often undersized. He was very good, but calibrated matchmaking made him appear even better to many.

His upper body defence is very impressive here. Something he began to neglect.

Good Frampton round but Donaire lands two uppercuts in a row, it seems if he's gonna turn this around its when he's up close with those shots.

    Round 1: 10-9 Donaire
    Round 2: 10-9 Frampton
    Round 3: 10-9 Frampton
    Round 4: 10-9 Frampton
    Round 5: 10-9 Frampton

Donaire needs to initiate the exchanges, which he does in the first minute. Frampton starts his billy goat tactics again to take the pace over. When Frampton pressures Donaire can't deal with it. Donaire finally slips in a couple of nice uppercuts. Closer round but still Frampton

    Round 1 Donaire 10-9
    Round 2 Frampton 10-9
    Round 3 Frampton 10-9
    Round 4 Frampton 10-9
    Round 5 Donaire 10-9 Close

Quieter round, to begin with, but Carl turns it up halfway through, both men looking a little gassed, Donaire lands a nice uppercut, and another, he lands two more, close round, Nonito's shots more damaging.
