    Round 5

Garrido is walking Lindsay down and blocking the 1-2. Looping right leads by Lindsay, and short left hooks as Garrido steps inside. Garrido dips and puts in a left hook to the body. His first real punch, almost halfway into the round. Garrido plods after Lindsay and swings wildly, missing. Lindsay puts out light jabs and rights on the backfoot, letting Garrido walk onto them. Garrido missing badly with left hooks stepping in. Lindsay ducks and scrambles out of a corner and gets clubbed with a right hand across the back of the neck. Clinch. Uppercut by Garrido misses on the inside. Garrido keeps coming, and ducks a high combo from Lindsay. Another errant uppercut.

    10-9 Lindsay

    49-46 Lindsay

Yeah, it speaks well of Frampton that he was able to eviscerate Molitor since the only person to well and truly dominate him prior to this point was Cabellero. That said, Molitor has been on the way down and at least somewhat vulnerable ever since CC got through with him. Gave him the fight against Booth (barely), but there were multiple cases when the decision could have gone against him (Ruiz, Booth, Gauthier, and Ndolouvu the second time around). He clearly wasn't as good a fighter after Cabellero as he was before.

At the very least, we Canucks can look back fondly on Steve's ascent, when he blasted out Hunter and Ndolouvu in unexpected fashion.

And as for Frampton, there's a very good chance that the best memories may be yet to come.:good

    Round 6

Their feet tangle as Lindsay is pumping a jab into Garrido's face, and Garrido spins away and nearly stumbles off his feet. Lindsay puts the 1-2 into Garrido's face and steps out of range. Solid, controlled out-boxing by Lindsay. Garrido is walking slowly in and fishing for body shots, getting countered with straights. Rights and jabs rattled off up top by Lindsay, and a quick right uppercut on the belt. Lindsay isn't able to hold Garrido at bay with any of his punches, even loading up. Garrido is walking through shots and trying to hack at Lindsay's abs and kidneys. Lindsay drops his right fist over the top and into Garrido's eyes, then hooks him in the face backing up. Garrido barely even blinks. Body slaps by Garrido. Mostly arm punches from Garrido, but he's trying, putting together bunches whenever he's got Lindsay near the ropes or otherwise within reach.

    10-9 Lindsay

    59-55 Lindsay

    Round 7

Lindsay jabs at Garrido and steps to his left. Right to the body and a quick sidestep by Lindsay. Garrido tries to bear down on Lindsay but lacks what little speed in his gait he possessed earlier. Garrido leans on Lindsay where he can and slaps either side of his body, leaning in and trying to topple him over with sheer upper body strength. Lindsay keeps his hands flowing, jabs, uppercuts, and whipping rights on the inside. Garrido misses point blank shots but keeps leaning in, eating shots. Lindsay gets a bit wild and is caught by a right hand, but out-landing Garrido more than 5:1.

    10-9 Lindsay

    69-64 Lindsay

    Round 8

Snappy left hook to the body by Lindsay. Several jabs to the face by Lindsay. Garrido keeps bearing down on him and hooks slowly up top with both hands. OH!! Big right hand by Garrido, showing a sudden burst of speed and ferocity. Lindsay composes himself and backs up, springing a combination on Garrido as he steps in. Garrido reaches over and rubs Lindsay's chin with a right hand, and then slaps with a hook. Big sidewinders by Garrido, slow but persistent, clapping against the backs of Lindsay's gloves. Lindsay bounces around, drawing Garrido along and countering over the top with his right hand. Clinch. Garrido keeps coming and grinds into Lindsay, who briefly tries to shove back into him and then skip out to set up another combo. Big windmills by Garrido as he walks Lindsay into the ropes.

    Close eighth.

    10-9 Lindsay

    79-73 Lindsay

Molitor was more shot than I had heard. He wasn't in the fight for a minute and simply quit.Very poor performance and Frampton deserved a better opponent.
