It's 560 miles away, or 903 km for you Brits (I'll give you the more logical measurement system, but that's about where it ends!). That's further than Paris to Nottingham, London to Glasgow, Just shy of London to Berlin, I could go on and on. What you all don't seem to realize is a few points, 1 being that the United States is ****ing massive, 2 being that the vast majority of Americans don't give a **** about boxing, 3 Andre Ward was only able to draw 4k to his hometown Oakland for his last fight, how many ****ing people do you think will make the long trip to Vegas to support him? Especially considering how ugly his fights are with no KO power, his quiet personality and he isn't exactly a star in the making over here. Contrast that with how rabid you Brits are about your boxers because you live on a tiny Island and care about the sport (which I envy, so don't get your panties in a bunch), and I would be willing to bet a good amount of money on there being a larger Froch contingent than anything else.

Lastly, how bout you all grow some ****ing balls like your boi Froch has in abundance and just stfu. He's a ****ing warrior who I guarantee you has no thoughts of losing the fight. He made a stink about going to Germany because there is a history there or corruptness. He has no problem with Vegas because he knows its the mecca of boxing and thats where you go to make the big bucks and become a ****ing star.

cause Green was lucky just to be in the super 6. it is not ward's fault but the fact is all super 6 fighters who have lost did so when fighting away from home.

I think Jack's pointing out the hypocrisy displayed by Cortez in allowing Hopkins to continually clinch Calzaghe but any time Hatton started going in to PBF he called a halt and separated them.

    I agree with him.

Pacquiao should demand that the Mosley fight be in Manila!

Mosley grew up in LA, a mere 6 hour drive from Las Vegas!

Las Vegas is fine as a venue., though MSG would be the most sensible choice. The Oakland/Goosen effect is the problem, not the entire USA. Who honestly would want the Super 6 final in Iceland? It has to be on the biggest stage.

This is the quote from the transcript of the latest "On the Ropes" broadcast.
Froch: "It needs to be somewhere like Las Vegas
    This content is protected
somewhere neutral where no one has home crowd advantage.”

I then re-listened to the broadcast to make sure the transcript was accurate and the only difference was that he said "Vegas or somewhere
    This content is protected
    neutral".

Yeah, I am. I agree with how Cortez handled the Hopkins/Calzaghe fight, because I think rough tactics have a place in boxing, but there is no doubt there was a hypocrisy which favoured both American fighters.

I hate to call double standards, but I can't imagine if Hatton was allowed to do anything and Hopkins was broken up at every chance, American fans wouldn't be annoyed. Rightly so, too. Referees should be impartial in every fight and always control them the same way. Cortez didn't do that.

I think US fighters are more likely to get the benefit of the doubt if a judge is in doubt and they are fighting a foriegner on US soil, that is not rocket-science.

If certain promoters/TV companies/sponsors etc are pulling for a fighter then funny-business can not be ruled out either.

Obviously, this is not restricted to the US only, Germany and Italy have more blatant reputations for favouring home fighters.

As US fighters (or US based) fight on home soil more than any other country though, you'd have to be a dime short of dollar not to know they are blessed with favourable judging decisions more often than anyone else, it's a fact of life basically.

Vegas is the best, most neutral spot in the US. Atlantic City and Houston Texas are the bad spots as far as scoring robberies are concerned. Refs can be bad anywhere and scoring for hometown fighters is always a problem anywhere you go because fans cheer unconditionally for the hometown fighters punch attempts.

The US is the most neutral territory because people are not really nationalistic and the US is made up of other nationalities. States and Regions are reprasented more than the overall nation. Someone from VA (my state) is not gonna support someone from California on the sole premise that he is american. People in the US can care less about that. IF a fighter is from Maryland, Carolina or West VA then some people might support him but not until they like what they see in him as a fighter.

America is the most patriotic country in the world.

In no other nation do you get anything like the ridiculous amount of flag waving, patriotic bull****.

Bayless and ruin are not to be used in the same sentence!:nono
Unless it's "Kenny Bayless won't the fight the way Cortez or Cole would".

That's good, if they fought in Oakland Froch would have to KO Ward to get a SD.
