With the end of the road fast approaching for the cobra will Carl's refusal to even test the waters at 175 have any sort of negative impact in his legacy? Say what you like about calzaghe and hatton but at least they tested themselves in another weight class? Discuss! 👍👍
No why should it. Hatton nearly came unstuck v collazo and I also had hopkins running calzaghe very close and he got dropped early v hopkins and a shot to peices RJJ. Some people naturally grow fill out ect Froch is very comfortable at super middle and I see no reason for him to move up why force the weight? Fight were your most comfortable and strongest
Calzaghe and Hatton ( most notably Hatton ) were big at the weight, Froch walks around between fights at less than 175.
Makes 168lb easily walks around close to his fighting weight he won't be moving up the money is at 168lb for Froch.
He isnt fast enough to hit him 'with the shots gtoves did' that was pure explosiveness but he hits exremely hard and even his clubbing shots round the head do damage but froch is a machine and would be interesting
I see were your coming from but nobody knows. Froch has one of the worse defences and no head movement but hes been hit by big punchers (maybe not like kovalev ) but they just bounce off his chin and have very little impact on him even the groves knock down 20 seconds later he looked ok and that would have put most people out cold for 5 minutes
Froch's punch resistance is ridiculous. I hope for Groves sake that it is wearing as he gets older, otherwise he is in for a long night.
Hate it wen peole talk like this your bringing up one of the greatest hear floyds a different gravy he has the skill to basically do what he likes he could probally do a roy jones and go capture a heavyweight title.....ok maybe im exagerating but you get what I mean
Boxers move up because they can't or won't make weight, Froch 'legacy' whatever that turns out to be will not be hindered by having the discipline to make weight.
