I am not a fan of froch, however i do admire his spirit, i thought both froch and dirrel looked really bad in their fight which i thought was a draw. I am not a dirrell fan either but after watching how good he looked against abraham i cant help but wonder was it in fact that froch really is good and just made dirrell look bad, i just wonder what your guys thought are on this, im honestly not sure about either guy. I cant decide whether one or both just had an off night when they fought eachother or what, but after watching dirrell abraham and kessler ward im honestly liking frochs chances against kessler.

Froch is limited, but determined and pretty strong. That's been enough to get him this far. It may be enough to get him past Kessler, if Kessler puts in a flat performance.

That said, the reason Dirrell looked as bad as he did against Froch is simply that it was only his 19th professional fight, a big step up in class of opponent, his first title fight, and it occurred in his opponents back yard. He made a lot of mistakes and showed his youth and inexperience. He learned a lot from that fight that he applied in the fight with Abraham. I'm pretty confident that Dirrell would beat Froch in a rematch.

That was the best Carl Froch against a very mediocre Dirrell.

I personally don't like the ****. But he's a decent fighter. Good chin, good power. But He won't win the tournament.

Whether you rate him or not you can't call him a fraud.

He's never ducked anybody, always tried to fight the best, and isn't where he is because of good promotion/matchmaking.

Neither. Closer to a force than a fraud though. Good fighter. Tough as nails.

He looks to fight the best, hasn't ducked a bout, and doesn't pretend to be something he isn't, so he isn't a fraud. He goes in there looking for a war and usually gets it.

Froch v Dirrell - Froch wanted Dirrell to engage because he knew that was his best chance of winning. Dirrell knew this and was wary of Froch's power. They kinda cancelled each other out making it a fairly dull bout.

Froch is neither a "force" nor a "fraud." It's true that he seems like an arrogant *****, but that has nothing to do with his abilites in the ring.

In the Taylor fight a lot of guys would have shut down mentally, but Froch hung in there, and got the win.

I think he expected to run right over Dirrell, but got a serious surprise. It was an ugly, foul-filled fight, but again Froch pulled out the win.

If he'll learn to keep his hands up, and stop telegraphing his jab, he can beat Abraham.

Unless Kessler has been reduced to a mere shell of his old self, he stops Froch.

Froch's either a breath of fresh or fetid air, depending on which boxing fan you ask. I find him really entertaining, and no matter what else you say about the guy, he's eager to fight anyone and everyone. That said, he never hit Dirrell the whole fight and looked amateurish, so he needs some serious technical improvement in the ring. And his chin is still in question. Both Taylor (a blown-up MW) and Dirrell (not a big banger) had him hurt and/or buzzed. If Kessler or AA connects flush his night is over.

He's the real deal. His last 3 fights / 3 wins - Pascal, Taylor, Dirrell. Name someone else who has faced that sort of opposition on the bounce

Yep. He's not boxing epitomised like pure boxers such as Mayweather or Winky - but I really like him. Outside the ring he is just very sensible and level headed, and does not try and please everything and everyone - implying he offends some people.

    - He is professional

    - Lives good/clean lifestyle

    - And his fights are exciting/very crowd friendly (unless your named Dirrell).

Brutal KO waiting to happen. Lucky against already punchy Jermain Taylor, gift against a prospect in his hometown where he had to rabbit punch and body slam to win.

nobody will know who Froch is a year from now.

I say this not even being a fan...

What would even qualify him close to being called a "fraud"? The dude fights solid opposition, gives it his all, and wins.

He ain't a "fraud", but can he "box"? THEN you have a thread!
