Even Ray Charles can see well enough to walk this tightrope and see how the HBO execs intend to cheat and set the Russian up to break title defence records by fighting 22 straight cupcakes. :yep

I back Froch and i'd be pretty comfortable in that pick.

Geale had success when he pushed GGG back tonight, and showed that GGG is certainly a front runner.

Unfortunately Geale was scared of getting hit and as a result spent much of the fight shelling up, in reverse and letting Golvkin get off,

Froch will meet Golovkin in the middle of the ring, and If Geale was backing him up, you better bet Froch will, the difference is Froch is bigger, Stronger, More Durable, braver and probably more powerful at 168.

I can't see Froch running backwards around the ring, scared of getting in a fight with GGG, and for that reason I can't see GGG being allowed to dictate the pace, and fight his usual fight. A bigger guy like Froch with heavy hands will wear Golovkin down and probably stop him late on.

    ALSO

Golovkin will not have success at mid range because froch has a much better reach and is formiddable with a very solid jab from mid-long range.

So GGG's only option is to try and pressure froch and push him backwards, and that's not going to work.

    Froch's defense < Geale's defense

    Froch's handspeed < Geale's handspeed

    Froch's chin >>>>>>>>> Geale's chin

    Would be interesting.

Agreed. The quote doesn't come across Froch being remotely sarcastic.

I am pretty confident you would have had Bute > Froch in a lot of categories also.

In one interview, Froch sarcastically mentioned he wouldn't fight Golovkin. In other interviews he has been positive to fighting him. Golovkin only moves out of 160 for PPV, he says. Hopefully with one or two more marquee performances Golovkin can be a PPV fighter.

If you find an old post of mine where I said Bute's chin > Froch's chin, I will bow down and pull a mea culpa. :good

Froch's Chin wouldn't be able to handle GGG's savage power.

Actually I think his chin would hold up for 12 rounds. Not sure about potential brain damage though.

Carl The Cobra Froch is too big and too strong for GGG.

Once Froch lays his heavy hands on GGG, the ****** Ass will wish he was back in the ring with the C level opposition his entire HBO career has feasted on for the last 8 years.

Golovkin has never felt the kind of power that Froch will hit him with, and believe me, Froch will hit him.
Cave man Froch will club GGG in the head like he was a wild boor destined for the spit. It won't be pretty.

When he gets hurt GGG's only hope is that the fight is held in England where the ref will more than likely stop the fight before Froch can go into full destroy mode as he likes to do to hurt prey.

If the fight were in New York, I can see able Sanchez dashing into the ring throwing a towel as he attempts to stop Froch's maniac attack on his fighters as he is slumped over the ropes absorbing more tremendous heads shots.

After that we'll have to turn our attention to Kovalev because the old Golovkin, as we knew him will be totally through.
