How does Froch do against the elite at 168lbs? This is based not just on the Jermain Taylor performance, I've been watching Froch on-and-off since his first pro fight in the uk, so I know his strengths and weaknesses pretty well. I'm not just hyping the guy coz of this win tonight.

Arthur Abraham - Abraham probably a little bit too sharp defensively for Froch, he is really good at countering fighters who are aggressive. Froch is strong, but he's a bit one-dimensional in his attack. When Froch tries to mix it up he exposes himself, and he's been like this his whole career. At this level, against someone as slick as Abraham, it'd be disastrous. Abraham on points

Mikkel Kessler - A close fight, but Kessler is a bit quicker in his hands and tidier with his shots. Froch would probably lose over 12 close rounds unless he landed a knockout punch.

Kelly Pavlik - I call this a 50/50 fight, both guys are straight down the line with their shots and have lots of power. They both fight with their heart in the middle of the ring, and it'd be a great fight. Froch is probably stronger at the weight, Pavlik has the better defense. Judging by the KO records of these fighters, I reckon someone's getting knocked out.

Allan Green - Could be a hard fight for froch, Green has a killer jab and KO power. The accuracy of that jab will cause Froch, with his low left-hand, nightmares. His win tonight was very impressive, but I've not seen much of him outside of that, just a few fragmented clips on youtube, so I'll hold of making a prediction. Would love to see the fight.

Lucian Bute - I give Carl a good chance in this fight because although Bute is a good fighter, with a powerful left-hand, I think he's there to be hit at times, and Froch as serious power at 168lbs. His southpaw stance might cause Froch trouble, especially because he'll be able to lead over Froch's low-left with his jab, but I think he'd end up going to-toe-to with Froch and losing by late KO.

Bernard Hopkins - would probably beat the **** out of Carl, using incredibly accurate counters and ringcraft to punish Carl when he gets sloppy and wide with his punches. Hopkins can pace himself over the course of the fight, and make the fight dirty and at his pace, which will be difficult for Froch to deal with. But realistically you have to consider that Hopkins is 43 years old, and he will get old someday. Froch is young, fresh and very strong, so Hopkins may have his hands full. Hopkins, possibly by KO, Is how I'd very tentatively call this fight.

Joe Calzaghe - Joe would win decisively against Froch, due to his he far superior handspeed and reactions. His movement would make it hard for Froch to land his shots, and his constant workrate would break up any attempts by Froch to get into a rhythm and wear him down. He'd totally outwork Froch and win a unaminous decision.

    What say you?

Agree with most other than Abraham; 'slick' is the last word I'd use to desrcibe him. His defense is a poor imitation of Winky, his out put is low, but he DOES have power. Not likely enough to stop Froch who i think could outwork him.

Abraham, Kessler, Pavlik, Hopkins, Calzaghe all beat Froch for me.
Froch beats Green and Butes 50/50.
