Casual fans in England wouldn't know GGG. Of course Chavez will win the poll because Froch and Hearn have been mentioning him in British media for months.

Froch GGG would be epic, for as long as it lasted. Froch-Chavez is THE $$$ fight for Carl. FRoch DeGale is just two limeys spanking each other. Big only in the UK and perhaps Independent Scotland LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!

Casual fans in England know almost as much about boxing as hardcore fans in the US.

Dont write off your folks like that. You guys know your boxing.

Froch v Golovkin has "instant classic" written all over it.

A GGG-vs-SGG fight would be an ideal litmus test for GGG and you are spot on about GGG himself (never mind his trainer) stating that he would like to stay at 160 (or drop down to 154).

Good call on a Ward-vs-GGG match-up. I to feel that Ward is a terrible match up for GGG (though to be fair Ward is a nightmare for anyone). I think Andre's lack of activity lulls us (certainly me) into often forgetting just how good he really is!!

All in all, an excellent post all the way!!

Were Froch to beat Degale it does nothing for him legacy wise. It would be a case of "Froch beat the guy who got beat of the bloke who Froch beat twice" because all Degale is known for (apart from his Gold medal) is losing a close fight to SGG.

As expected. Then I guess Junior will either break down and sign or stall till his contract expires. If his contract will take a long time to expire then expect him to break down and accept Arum's extension.

I've met Frosh and he's a big lad. I was astonished that he could get down to 12 stone and be effective as his natural (ie walking around) weight must be 190+.

There's no way he could get down to 160 and be anything other than a shell.

Froch says he doesn't walk around much higher than 168 lbs, think he walks around 171-175 lbs.

Thank you and I can't find anything to disagree with either. :good

Regarding Ward's lack of activity, his main issue here is his terrible manager and promoter. Ward is a victim of terrible promotion pretty much the same way Paul Williams was. Remember when Paul Williams beat Concreto back when Concreto was at the peak of his hype yet Concreto still moved on to headline a major event against Cotto and the fans didn't even care to remember Williams?. The same thing happened to Williams when they declined postponing the fight with Pavlik only to see DiBella take his place by sending Martinez. Really this is nothing but Goossen further confirming he's terrible.

    Chavez - 11392 votes
    GGG - 10623

Difference is rapidly decreasing, it's now mere 769 people.

    He's full of it mate.

I'm 6ft 1" and he is of similar height to me.

As I said, he's a big lad and I remember wondering how he fought at 168.

We didn't have a set of scales handy for him to jump on, but he was at least 13st-13 1/2 stone (which is 182-189lbs+).

Don't get me wrong, he didn't look out of shape (quite the opposite) and maybe he enters a camp having dropped a few pounds (he has always been a good pro) but him walking around at 185+ is not uncommon at all.

If Carl had spent his entire career walking around at 171-175, why did he never fight at middleweight??

He won the ABA's in 1999 and 2001 as a middleweight, which means he was fighting in the 168lb class (the amateurs are one weight class up from the pros, to accommodate the Super Heavy division).

A great warrior, and i'm a big fan of his, but he often walks around at 185+ (190 may have been slightly high, but who knows).
