I could edit where I wrote Groves mandatory to Jack instead of WBC title, but I would hope that you realise that is a typo?

    it's my question!

you said joe not fighting froch is like froch not fighting smith. i said it wasn't, because unlike smith, froch was joe's mandatory. you randomly referenced a time when he wasn't.

i'm not interested in such a "debate". it's pointless.

How has Froch got a better CV?
I rate Froch highly and think he has a very good resume, but Calzaghe I think has an overall greater SMW resume. Calzaghe was in the division as a world champ for a long time and even though there were some defences that cant be considered great, there were defences that were good.
For everyone of Frochs top wins I can think of one of Calzaghes that I rate higher, obviously its down to opinion, but you also have to know the division from some years back and have been watching that many on here havent and post without knowing the opponents

    Froch
Kessler - Calzaghe beat a more prime version
Bute - was a good win but I rate Eubank higher
Johnson - beaten by Sheika who Calzaghe beat
Magee - beaten by a faded Reid that Calzaghe beat when prime
Groves - was of a similar level to Starie when Calzaghe beat him, but I could put several names Calzaghe beat higher but for here will say Woodhall
Pascal - wasnt a top SMW and not as accomplished at SMW as Veit
Taylor - not a top SMW and not as good a win as Bika who won a SMW title and did better at SMW than Taylor
Dirrell - not as accomplished at SMW as Brewer
Abraham - I rate Mitchell higher, and think someone would struggle to argue that

Then throw in some of Calzaghes other wins like Mkertchyan and Lacy.
I really cant see how anyone who knows SMW could really argue. Obviously we can switch names around to suit, but for every top win of Frochs, I can think of one for Calzaghe that I rate higher, still that doesnt mean for one second that I dont rate what Froch has done, as Froch is a top SMW

You can undermine anyone's CV and judging by what your doing with Antonio I can't be bothered to argue for multiple threads. You think Joe record is better then fine, I don't and it's all about opinions.

For example I think eubank was a good win for Joe but not great. It wasn't a prime Eubank although he was still decent. See how this works. Your going to come back with of course it was a prime eubank. Boxing a funny old game of opinions and yes I've been watching smw for many years and a big eubank and benn fan

Froch has made more money than Calzaghe, fought better opponents more consistently and is more exciting to watch. Calzaghe would beat him though, but who gives a **** about any of this.. they're both brilliant in their own ways

Calzaghe comes across as very bitter and jealous towards Froch these days IMO. I believe Joe thought Carl wouldn't have a very successful career at the top level and I think it now burns him that he didn't fight Froch. For all the plaudits Calzaghe gets for his skill set and unbeaten record, Froch has fought way better opposition, continuously and really pushed himself, this is now getting noticed and it annoys Calzaghe. Carl has made the most of his career and Joe wasted away too many years taking easy defences, instead of chasing career defining fights in the US when he was in his prime. Froch's financial success will also upset Calzaghe, as he once said he didn't want to give Carl a pay day.

Both could do with growing up a bit tbh. The pair of them come over as a bit too insecure.

You know what I think you maybe right, Joe has the zero on boxrec but Carl has the zero's in the bank....and it eats him up. Well he only has himself to blame for that.
