I would love to see either fight. Either man would show us EXACTLY what Carl is made of. If he passed the test, the big fights with big pay days would come.

I don't think Froch can hurt Andrade. That is very dangerous if you rely on power more than skill. I'm not saying Froch's skill is awful, but it does not stand out. His lazy periods would be very costly against such a relentless fighter. I don't think Froch has the kind of speed of Bute and Kessler that made him ineffective for long periods so Andrade would also have a lot of success. Of course Froch also has a good chin and maybe the edge in skill which makes for a great fight.

But I'd take Andrade in a brutal decision on activity mainly, and also his experience and improvements at the top level.

No, but he faces some of the same opponents Bika and Bute and Kessler and Calzaghe have faced, and usually won more impressively, though they were nowhere near as hungry as when the others fought them.

I'm not sure Froch could get past Manfredo.

the other day I said Andrade would take it down the stretch. He pulls ahead after 9-10 rounds.

:hey:yep Made me laugh out loud. Froch has such a mouth on him, and some people are hyping him so much, the idea of Manfredo beating him is ****ing hilarous!

Yes, good point I didn't mention. Andrade has the edge in stamina which is important. Carl was blowing out his ass against Pascal which is far from the tempo he'll encounter with the Mexican.

That would pretty make much make Froch compost heap material.

But more relevant. You have two guys at 168 claiming no one will fight them, yet they aren't on each others lips...... Froch/Kessler. When Froch/Taylor goes to purse bid, Froch will be without a partner anyhow. I just don't see Taylor taking 30%. I don't think the title means that much to him otherwise he would have taken Froch in the first place. Let's see a bit of unification.

For more than a year he's been trying to talk his way into a pay-day with Calzaghe (Witter style) assuming being from the same patch of land as the champ entitles you to a shot.
Manfredo was a crap match, but he bought a recognisable name to the fight, and was basically a showcase for Joe. Froch, prior to his title win, had literally nothing to make a big fight, and even with the strap he still only ranks 4th(5th?) at the weight.
ATM there are plenty of more meaningful fights for Joe than a match with Froch, who should try unifying, or at least proving himself #1 at the weight. It would make the fight a lot more attractive if he actually brings something (other than a belt) to the table.

Anyway, does anyone honestly give the guy a chance? His last fight was exciting, but neither fighter looked world class. Froch was getting beaten till Pascal got tired from bouncing shots of his head. He's got a good chin, and seems strong but I'd pick hopkin's, Kessler and Calzaghe easily.

Bika is a spoiler for any fighter. He's just tough as nails. He gave Calzaghe quite some trouble, and he's been an upset winner in at least 2 other fights (the Contender finale, and a recent one).

What was the point in fighting a shot Roy Jones, or rematching a guy he knocked out in the first round etc. etc.
This is the Calzaghe mentality, it cannot be explained or excused.

I've always thought his stamina would be a problem. But then again his ribs were mashed up prior to the fight coming into face Pascal - so that might explain running out of gas.

For me, if Calzaghe suddenly gets a motivated desire to prove himself then I think the most dangerous guy is Chad Dawson.

Calzaghe has past Valuev's previos 45-0 unbeaten run, there is nothing left to prove.
