Adrain is a solid guy but to imply that Dawson has anything to be scared of is laughable. Adrian is beneath Chad on all levels except power...the fight isn't necessary at this point and Chad has REAL challenges that await him...if Adrian can continue to win and more importantly IMPORVE...then maybe this fight would be realistic.....this fight would be the equivlant to FROCH vs JOE C.....NO POINT!:hey :yep
Dawson isn't iron chinned nor is he glassed chinned...He has a decent set of whiskers but what he's shown is that he can come back from adversity....being rocked then recouping and getting back to the work at hand. That is the sign of a champion.....I still have my questions about Bad Chad but he's been answering most of them.
Styles make fights and Diaconu is a bad style match-up for Dawson.Name me one(1) real challenge Dawson CAN take at the moment. And Tarver II isn't one(as Tarver I wasn't as said and proved):good
Froch should get his own career sorted before he starts giving advice to someone like Dawson, Dawson is fighting at another level to Froch...the mouthy gobshite!
Except Johnso who almost beat him he hasn't fought great question mark fights.Tarver and Harding proved 1 thing:Those boys were shot
Like I say this fight will happen we just have to be patient. You cannot blame a guy for trying to fight calzaghe (on some list he is the #1 p4p) who posses a even bigger threat and gaining more money in the process. If the fight does not happen (and it probably not happen) then I say he should and will fight Diaconu.
I agree that's why I do not think that fight will happen but we cannot blame the guy for trying to fight him instead. Calzaghe does not need this fight anyway, as he is going to the Hof anyway with or without the fight. Dawson is young, people (not necessarily you) need to understand is Dawson is not going anywhere, I'm almost certain he will fight Diaconu by mid 09.
I was actually thinking that due to the style it would make it hard for Adrian to mount any kind of sustained attack....#1....Adrian likes to push forward in his fights...dawson is very comfortable countering and the kind of attack Adrain mounts isn't like Glenn Johnson where its mutliple punches or combos. Dawson has trouble with guys who have stamina and are relentless. But you're right....there aren't many options at 175 right now since I'm sure a rematch with Glenn is out and Tarver isnt going to do much better in the rematch (i think:think ). So this fight might be good to stay busy....of course Adrian has some real power so there is always a possiblility of the upset.:good
Could be...but there is NO denying the skills, ability, natrual talent and physical gifts that Chad displayed in full effect in his bout with Tarver! I don't think Tarver is completey shot but he's nothing near what he once was based on what we saw in there with Dawson.....And i hate to break this to you...beating Adrain won't get him any closer to those "Great Question Mark Fights" that he needs. Ademek is a more worthy oppoent IMO than Adrian....but Adamek has failed already....the only thing I can say that is a "Plus" for Adrian would be he hasn't had his shot at Chad yet....but the end results are pretty clear.
Dawson's lack of focus and wilingness to trade would give Diaconu chances.Dawson has at least one moment in everytime in which he can be hurt, everytime he was, some times he went down, hasn't been KO'd tough.Might happen.Plus Diaconu throws combos but wide ones.:good
You think? I agree that Dawson will be willing to trade which is the ONLY way Adrian has a shot at landing flush enough to put Chad out....but the Speed, reflexes ect....are in abundance with Chad....even trading with Adrain the vast disparity in speed will make it hard for Adrian to find his mark.....but Adrian is no bum....he could pull off an upset I just view it as highly unlikely.
