i suppose from a technical aspect thats probably correct, the almost confusingly bad abraham aside, that froch has been shown up, but his heart, conditioning and clubing power always closes the gap significantly

    hmmm let me see

He beat Pascal in a really good close fight. pascal would go on to beat No1 rated LHW and until then unbeaten Chad Dawson.

He travelled over to fight Jermain Taylor and was well behind on the cards only to rally back and score a great TKO victory in the dying seconds in which was one of the best fights of the year. Taylor had also been a world champion prior to this fight.

He won a close decision against Andre Dirrell who is a very talented fighter who won an Olympic gold medal. I had Dirrell winning by one point but he was so negative I can understand how he dropped rounds. Time will tell how good Dirrell is.

he lost his next fight to Mikkel Kessler whose only defeats have came against no1 in the division Joe Calzaghe and current No1 Andre Ward. It was a close fight that could have went either way with no shame at all in losing a close points decision.

He beat former middleweight champion Arthur Abraham by shutout. Abraham had only lost one match prior to this by DQ against Dirrelll in a fight he was clawing back. Only other defeat to date is against No1 Andre Ward.

he won a clear decision against tough and ready Glen Johnson, again a former world champion. Despite his age Johnson gives everyone he fights some sort of problems only recently stopping Allan Green and taking Tavoris Cloud to the wire.

Finally he lost to Andre ward who has been dominating the division since the SuperSix started. Sure it was wide but Ward's style was all wrong for him and Ward looks head and shoulders above everyone else at the minute.

No shame in what Froch has achieved, in fact he has carved up a very impressive resume. If more boxers challenged themselves like Froch has in recent years then I doubt we would have as many unbeaten boxers on the circuit.

Beating a former SFW was one of his lowest lows, IMO. Carl shouldn't be picking on smaller men...

Slagging Carl off for his last six fights is beyond dumb. Elite guys should look more ordinary against other elites in their division. Nothing wrong with tough fights.

Froch is probably among the top 5. He went the distance and got to the final of "the super 6", where most other fighters bailed out or were eliminated.

He fights like a clumsy caveman. Slicker better fighters might be able to expose his flaws, but he' still proven to be one of the best in the world through toughness and determination.

I never really rated Froch but you have to give him his due credit now. As a boxer he is not that special, he's got where he has due to a granite chin, big heart, long reach, awkward style, self beleif great fittness and good amateur xp which is easy to forget when you basically see a limited slugger with little power. Calzaghe would have made mince meat out of him though.

One thing that can never be taken from Froch is the respect due for the fights he's had since Pascal to today and the performances he's had.

He might not be the slickest most technical boxers boxer ... but by **** does he have heart and resilience. One of my favourite British fighters ever.

froch has skills but when you put everything in context all he has is solid skills there is nothing outstanding. at the highest level all froch has is a punchers chance. i think him and pavlik would be a great fight.

Funny, at the time of watching Froch vs Dirrell i was under the impression that Dirrell had done enough to win on points, having gone back to watch the fight it becomes clear what a wankstain Andre was in that fight. Falling on the floor or clinching everytime it so much as looks as if the opponent is going to land or manouvre you into the corner is not cool, its cheating. Not a chance Dirrell deserved that fight, he tried to steal victory on foriegn soil, i mean is he really that stupid?

and what did froch do in that fight to inspire confidence that he did enough to win:roll: i agree dirrell fought like a little *****, but he actually landed punches on froch, all froch did was march forward and hit air.
