Guys, it's good that you rate Froch. Then, when Bute beats him convincingly in his home-town, you will give Bute some credit. Hopefully this credit will then help Bute get the fight that really matters, against Ward.:good

Froch would batter Pavlik. Pavlik struggled against Afonso Lopez FFS, he's absolutely shocking (Lopez). Froch would just pummell him.

We should be celebrating fighters like, not downplaying them. No one is claiming him as an ATG, but he is a world class boxer that fights against quality opponents time and time again.

If there were more like him, boxing would be in a much better shape.

  5. ''A puncher's chance'' is the one thing Froch doesn't have at the top level, coupled with inside fighting ability.

    More shocking self-ownage by Fitzypoos.

I've never been sure where this "big puncher" thing comes from with Froch. He's got a respectable dig but no more than that at world level.

Right, and to say that's all he has, when almost his wins at the top level have been by decision is very strange.

I think its one of those things that gets said so often that it becomes "true".

    Easily. Pavlik is done.

(And no, I've never boxed at a decent level)

18 months ago it would have been 'no way would Froch batter Abraham'. Pavlik has been unimpressive lately too. If not a battering I'd expect it to be comfortable.

  14. Pavlik is American with a high KO ratio.

No way any European fighter that's already been beaten can do anything with him.

    ----

Seriously Fitz, given you've just said Froch wouldn't batter Pavlik, if the fight was made and Froch won a decision (say 118-110 x3), what would be your next post?

Would you admit you'd got it wrong, as we've all had to do multiple times, or trot out the ''Pavlik was shot/made for him/never that good anyway''
