He's really lucky to be undefeated, he has some skills and good boxing attributes, but it's not championship level. The way he boxes is a disgrace to the sweet science.
The guy will fight anyone, anywhere, anytime and you call him a disgrace!!! You're a disgrace. If all boxers were as willing to fight as Carl boxing would be a much better specticle.
Froch has many of the qualities we wish every fighter would have. He is an overachiever - yes. But why is that somethign bad?
Carl Froch has some of the ugliest 'skills' of any top fighter ive ever seen..... and he STILL beats top opponents, is a champion, and despite the Dirrell controversy, remains undefeated. It goes to show you how far your character can take you, this guy is a hard working fighter who puts his all into every training camp and fight, and while some fighters might have him beat in the ability department, Froch more then makes up for it with his will and toughness, i love that. I like Froch, to be honest i was hardly familiar with him before his fight with Taylor. But hes growing on me and i tend to like overachievers (How many excuses does this guy have NOT to win, but while guys like Ortiz quit in tough fights, or guys like Bojado squash their chances and gifts, a guy like Froch comes along and squeezes everything he can out of what hes got on the outside, with what he has on the inside. I cant hate on that no matter how ugly his style looks I WOULD like to see him tighten things up and simply bring his game to a higher level, he has to be able to see himself fighting and see that he looks less sloppy as hell (yes, i realise its worked for him all this time, but why not improve for the sake of improvement, in certain areas) at any rate, Kessler vs Froch is a tough fight to really be rooting for one guy or the other as i like them both about the same (froch a bit more probably) and its going to suck to see one lose, i got to favor Kesslers better skillset and sleaker, straighter style over Froch, but i think Froch has more will then Kessler and if he can start imposing it, who knows how this plays out.
And here is the vid with Froch talking about Dirrell-AA.: http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=217435
lol at you getting butt-hurt because I insulted your favorite boxer, I'm assuming you're from the U.K right? And Froch has done his share of cherry picking too. He tried overreaching for a fight with Joe Calzaghe when obviously he was no match for Joe Calzaghe, and then he turned down a fight against Lucian Bute. There are a lot of boxers who are willing to fight any opponent such as Jean Pascal, Paul Williams, Eddie Chambers, etc, those boxers are warriors with real skills.
