Carl Froch......................I value my teeth

Froch is not stupid. He will fight as intelligently as he can to see what Pascal has in his locker. If that goes well, no need to take any risks. If it doesn't, he needs to put some pressure and take some risks, taking some punches to land some big punches of his own. I expect the fight to be quite competitive in the first 3/4rs...late on...Froch will try to get a stoppage, if he feels Pascal cannot hurt him, because he aims to impress to set up a big fight against Taylor or Kessler or even Calzaghe next. Let's see if he can do it.

 

Not his nose though.

 

Why is it some fighters like Froch get their nose broken hideously in boxing but then somone like Calzaghe can get smacked right on the honker and still be relatively unscathed?

Pure luck or some sort of predisposition?

 

Just a guess, but it could be due to the fact that he's wide open.

 

Something is holding me back from really liking Froch.....I'm not sure what it is as I was a big fan of him at first.

Maybe he just needs the big fights to back up his words.

 

A 'slow' kid I went to school with is the almost double of Carl Froch, bonked nose and everything.

 

If you've got a parrot nose to start off with it's pretty much destined for some rearrangment. Calzaghe's isn't what you'd call straight either.

 

I really like Froch, I believe he's more than willing to back up his words.

It's shocking that he's had to wait so long for a chance, and had so few fights, hopefully that will give him longevity and he will not turn out to be 'Witter-esque'

You'd have to think that different management would have had him a shot before now, raised his profile more
