Said it on Ringside last night. But doesn't this sound strangely familiar. :think

Why is it that in the two biggest fights of his career, he 'wasn't himself'?

    Two Options.

A: He just isn't good enough at that level.

B: He hasn't the bottle to handle the make or break fights. (Bute is a certified bottle job, so let's not mention that as proof that he does).

    Take your pick.

Disclaimer: Not a hate thread, greatly admire the cobra. However, it's a question worth asking.

I hate when people won't admit they lost to a better man. Just ****ing say it! "He's better than I am!"

In fairness, he did on the night Ward beat him. But then he strangely changed his tune. Genuinely think he's in denial about Ward's talent, and his own.

Even if he would just say 'better on the night'....... These guys need to convince themselves they are the best. Simply Carl's coping mechanism cuz he needs to believe if they fight again there would be a different outcome.

What attitude do you really expect from such a guy, someone who doesn't believe in himself?

saying you were beaten by the better man if gracious - making bogus excuses means he's a bad loser

Froch is simply delusional regarding his skill set.

Champions simply have to shake their head and look for structural and conditional problems when confronted with a loss. Simply being "not good enough" is not and should not be a fighter's approach; "didn't do" and "should have done" are the natural reactions, so that the next time they're in the gym, they have something to focus on.

A fighter treating their own abilities as a static, definite level is a recipe for disaster. Froch is an overachiever. "There's a way, I just didn't find it that time" is what he seems to be saying.

That's just my take on it IMO.

Froch's delusional fans (as bad as Haye's) and his excuses are making it hard to be a non-nationalist fan of his...

Kessler did this, against Calzaghe - when there was a perfectly legitimate excuse at his disposal (hand injury, which he downplayed the severity of before & after)

    Kessler is a real man.

You know how there's only one Ricky Hatton?

Well there are two Carl Frochs, the one who lost to Kessler and Ward wasn't the real one.
